The weather folks are predicting freezing rain ice around here on Sunday night-Monday morning. I Am not planning on being part of the madness. It's times like this that I am no longer an essential personnel that has to be out in the bad weather.

  22 degrees here in western Virginia and about 3 inches of new snow on top of 6 inches we already had. Had to takes the better half to work at 0700 Thankful for good old American horsepower and 4wd.The old Silverado handled it like a champ.Weather gueassers callen for maybe 10 inches by tonight. Gotta pick her up at 3 pm aughta be right by then. Gotta have her back to work at 0700 tomorrow too,looks like snow taxi this weekend.lol

Weather hasn't  changed much, still heading for 60 with slightly hazy blue skies.

Tonight's menu is Dutch oven pot roast beef with red taters, pearl onions, mushrooms and baby carrots.

Moose has got a haircut appt. today. She will prolly make a grocery run while she is out. No clue for lunch or supper. I'm thinking comfort food for the weekend and the first part of next week. Beef stew, Chili, Meatloaf, Pot roast, Vegetable Beef soup, and Fritos Pie.

Didn't stay out long. Talked a few minutes with an observer more dedicated than me. Bird was in the nest. Weren't there but a few when the male showed up ta take a shift. Apparently she had the brood patch thing goin' 'n had the nest 'n egg(s) nice 'n warm. Knew if she got up the cold breeze'd hit 'er belly. Told him ta go away - so he did.

Went by the Amish place for a few things the fat lady wanted. Got inta their spices 'n herbs for the first time. Next time I need somethin' I'll go there. Reasonable prices 'n they got stuff I ain't never heard of. Can walk there from Alice's produce place at the market.

Gots meatballs in tomato sauce in the l'il red one. Her high fiber (Nature's Broom) spaghetti's ready ta boil when the time comes. Prerace hype's 'bout done. Ready for the whatever it's called this season thing.

The freezing rain/sleet is supposed to start tomorrow evening and getting worse on Monday and Tuesday. The overpasses will ice over, causing extremely slick conditions. The accumulation is expected to be about 1/2 inch. Possible snow on Monday and Tuesday. The ice will thaw some, but re freeze Monday night, causing more icy conditions on Tuesday. Moose may be home Monday, and possibly Tuesday as well.

   Tis 33 and still snowin here in western VA. After 4 days of below 0 at night and teens in day 33 seems almost balmy. LOL Looks like we might get that 10 inches they was a callin for. Supposed to get up up toward 50 tomorrow. Aught to melt quick. There a sayin maybe some flooding by Sunday night.

It must be a 4 banger, I only see 4 Pugs. Moose is fixing meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and carrots for supper tonight. I am planning on fixing pancakes, bacon,and eggs for breakfast in the morning.

Grilled a coupla hot dogs , toasted the buns, onion & yellow mustard , washed it down with Dr. Pepper.

Spaghetti was right nice but that's two evenin's inna row for pasta. Gotta back away from it for awhile after the left overs are gone.

No sn*w here. Rain'll come to the lower right end of the once great commonwealth after I sack out. Maybe get me some shots at wet eagles in the mornin'.
