Fairly productive day.

Disappointed for the first time with the Kroger place. Had my appetite all ready for soup for lunch. Sign said 16 & 32 oz. sizes. Didn't have 16 oz. cups. Asked 'n they told me ta go check the cafeteria section. Too many people there. Hit the buffet. Decent but it wasn't what I went in there for.

Did get 10 more pounds of bird parts. Had the store brand spaghetti sauce 87¢ a 24 oz can. Got two. Store brand spaghetti a buck a pound. She got some store brand meatballs from HT BOGO t'other day. We're in good shape for a couple days.

Checked the nest. Saw the back of someone's head. Don't know who. Identifier's on the female's tail but one the other eagles's on the egg(s).

Chili was good onna cold night. Cornbread was from a mix. Said she wants the other stuff next time. Damned if the mix ain't alot easier.

Listenin' ta the race 'n got the DVR runnin'. Gonna relax 'n if it results in sleep - so be it.

Evenin' y'all.

Pretty unproductive day here.  Did some Spanish home work, and worked out a little, then kinda kicked back and relaxed.  read a book.

I'll ask y'all to keep some of the people in my life in your thoughts and prayers, though.  First off, one of my cousins (actually the husband of the cousin of my dad) was given 4-6 weeks by the doctor on Monday.  Cancer of the lung/liver.  Some of the family is taking it kind of hard.

Secondly, my best friend's cousin is in bad condition right now.  He was taken by ambulance from the high school for being unresponsive after head trauma.  Then, he was flown from the local hospital to Redding Trauma Center, in the city.  In transit, he began having seizures, and last I heard, was having them pretty regularly.   His family has had a rough go the past couple years.  First, his mother died of breast cancer.  Now, his brother is in jail for killing their father.  My friend is down there with his mother and grandma, keeping close should something happen.

Okay, enough lip-flapping.  I'll let y'all sleep.

TK, Prayers Up for Family and Friends. I got up for the 0300 plumbing check. "My Darling Clementine" is on the Western Channel. I never was a big Henry Fonda fan, but this is his best Western. It was directed by John Ford. It is not historically correct, but a Western classic. I going to try and go back to sleep.

Utility Company responded , recording said outage would be about 1 hour ,  but had to replace the pole I guess...

Happy Tell a Fairy Tale Day, y'all!

11º out at the moment. High's been revised up ta a sweaty 20º. Kinda missed the 3º most the guessers were callin' for or the 'possibility' of minus numbers mentioned by '60 Mile an Hour Don.' But what the heck, anything's possible, huh, Don?

Thought about it, Del. Figgered it had a good chance of vapor-lockin' the kid runnin' the register. Prolly can't decipher half a bar code on the cup. Coulda prolly made it thru two sixteens, if they'd had the cups, but that weren't what I wanted. They're as well trained, up beat 'n polite as HT's but I'm doubtin' that extends ta much more'n scan-the-cup 'n if it don't werk call the manager.

Ain't been out ta I Witness the conditions yet. Thinkin' I'll down me a pile a grits 'n 'nother cup of coffee first.

Morning y'all.
No coffee for me. Hurts to swallow. Also got an ear ache. Gonna call the clinic to see if they will see me and get some moldy bread.

I'll be praying, TK.

'Tis -7 and overcast. "Not as cold. Light snow. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Highs in the upper teens. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent."

I hope that it warms up for everyone this morning. Victoria slept in this morning. I made Cawffee for the Moose this morning for her to drink on the way to school this morning. I am on my first cup of Cawffee, slowly waking up. No plans for breakfast or lunch.

thoughts for the ailing.

She is crazy, ordered something Wed, didn't get the tracking # yesterday, calls me, my cell is dead, don't realize it, then calls the stupid land-line we had to get to get cheaper cable and net. ::)

Was deep in thought had several windows open, studying, had the Betty book from 1955 open, was trying to decide how to word something, weird noise to my right, figured out what it was, had to go to her E-mail and get the information, don't know why, it's somewhere between Salt Lake City and here, known where it is at this minute won't make it come faster.

Lost my train of thought, hope they ship the scrap bookin' junk to Timbuktu first. >:(

After we got done with rounds, removed the plow and took the truck to be serviced. While we were waiting, picked up the wife's laminate flooring purchase all 14 cases. Came home and unloaded them, went to lunch, then salted the park roads and reinstalled the plow. Once home, went out and cleared the elderly ladie's drive next door, and then filled the bird feeders. Oh yeah, when out with the dogs early, heard a wood pecker looking for breakfast. With the temps this morning, bet that was a hard row to plow for it. Currently 8, WC -11 ::)

The NP said there were no infection, but fluid behind my eardrums. Said to keep taking decongestant and drink lots of fluids. Also said it will take about ten days to get rid of it. Great. Six more days.  :(

Ya got it whipped, Slim.

Bird on the nest it noon. Didn't wait for shift change. Too chilly to sit with the station wagon shut off 'n the window down. Weren't gonna let it idle waitin' for the spirit ta move 'em. They're there, they're there. They ain't, nothin' I can do about it anyway.

Tried doin' the stroganoff in the pot. Used all the misc. unused pasta. Almost got it right. Didn't leave it alone long 'nuff after I stirred the sour cream. Didn't melt all the way. Was a l'il grainy 'n uneven. I'll know what ta do next time 'n BAM.

That said, it was tasty 'n my belly's full. Try'n make it thru the truck race. Prolly crap out sittin' right here tho.......

We enjoyed our night out at the Tex-Mex place. The Enchalidas and soft tacos were delicious. I had a couple of Bud Lights to wash the food down. I got up for 2300 plumbing check and I finished off the left over Cawffee. I forgot to set the DVR for the truck race. I guess that I'll read about it tomorrow.

Evenin' y'all.

Update on the concussion patient.  He woke up at about 0630, and is in good condition.  No amnesia, though a minor fracture of the skull will keep him out of the gym a while.  So, the true story of what happened is, he jumped from a stage, caught the basketball net, and it broke.  He landed on his noggin, and you know the rest of it from there.

I spotted a specimen of the National Bird today.  Flying over Whiskeytown Lake.  Had a pretty decent sized fish in it's claws.

Mornin', you people.

Seeing the birds in the air. Great! If y'all don't know, Challenger is scheduled to fly durin' the anthem Sunday at Daytona.

Ennyways....

11º again. Callin' for 40º+. Mebbe melt the remainin' slick stuff away. Longer range ain't lookin' too pretty for next Thursday but the guessers could be wrong. It's a good thing they're callin' it as they are now. Really anxious ta shoot somethin' outdoors what goes BANG instead of click.

Evenin' menu ain't settled yet. Fish'd be nice. Ain't got any.
