Hey y'all.

Whoopie, what a ride.  Sorry for being such a stranger the past month, but school, weather, internet connections not connecting, and various other stuffs have taken their toll on my schedule.

So, I'll give y'all an update.

School has school-ified.  I only go to the city three days a week this semester, but the class makes up for it.  This Spanish preterit kinda gave me a boot to the butt.  Bleh.

Weather has been kind of back and forth.  one day it decides to be sunny, and 75 degrees.  The next it's sunny, but only 35.  Then it decides to go down below freezing, and be windy enough to blow rain in for a couple days.  makes for a lot of plan changing.

The internet around here has been affected by weather.  Water in the power lines, bears chewing on solar panels(I hope he enjoyed it), trees across power poles, etc.   Internet has been about a 50/50 chance.  And my dad, being chief nerd guy for the county education system, has been getting calls from every school in the county saying they want him to fix the internet.  That's difficult, when the road to the internet antenna is too dangerous to walk on...

Okay, now for the positive stuff the past month.
First off, My report card came in, and it was quite good. Right now, I have an overall GPA of 3.9 and some change, and am 2nd in my class, out of 71.  I'm pretty satisfied with that.

Also, I bought a new magazine for my 1911.  That solved the feeding issue completely.  Fed 100 rounds without an issue.  comparatively, the old mag had a record of about 60% reliability.  Quite happy with the results.

And, the biggest news.  Tuesday I will be receiving a package from Palmetto State Armory.  Inside will be my "Designated Liberal Piss-Offing Device,"  also known as a mil-spec M4 upper.  Once I get that, all I have to do is buy the rest of the AR...

Mornin'.

Did get a bit breezy yestitty evenin'. Gusts fell shorta sixty but not by much. Dunno what that was all about. Happy it's gone. Ain't much for 18º 'n gusts up 'round forty but it is what it is 'n some y'all got it werse.

Be lookin' at the birds from inside the station wagon. Gonna be wishin' for a drive-thru it the Kroger place. Won't be one. Rats....

The Cawffee and Hot water are ready for drinking. enjoy! The sun is trying to come up and the temp is about 40. The Weather folks are predicting a slight chance of rain. It should be perfect weather for Victoria. Breakfast put on hold till after the girls get back from the park. No clue for Supper tonight. The stroganoff and asparagus turned out great.

My question was  " why the  'HE double toothpicks' was it  unplugged , last time was when it came outa da box new " 
That's when the fight started....   ( kinda wondered why the timer clocky thing wasn't lit up  )

OK, better now , my cup delivered ....  I'm still a little cranky....but " SHE" LL  get over it 

However, I betting any breakfast fare is on me 
No point I guess , in cashing in yesterday's card ( I made pancakes & took her to lunch )

Gotta confess. Advanced old age got me unpluggin' the coffee dripper if I'm gonna be away awhile. Either that er wonder if I shut it off 'til I get back. Can remember doin' that. Usually know it ain't plugged in when I flip the switch later - light won't come on.

Gots the Pasta e Fagioli goin'. Don't like havin' ta brown the ground beef. First off, it messes up the skillet. Second off, I'm too freakin' picky wantin' all the chunks the same size so I end up with what looks like fat brown rice cuz I keep choppin' at it. Third off, get's ta releasin' an aroma what makes ya wanna say, 'screw the soup, eat it now.' But it's done 'n in the pot. Didn't even sample it. I'll be happier 'round 1830 when it's inna mug with the pasta in it 'n cheese on top.

Arcey, The soup sounds good and interesting. I still don't have a clue for supper tonight. The girls just got from the Park. Moose has decided to plant some flowers, breakfast is on hold again. I'm gonna make some toast to soak up some of the Cawffee that have already drank.

yeah,  you'd think    ... but I ( when there's neighborhood power failure ) will often flip the light switch coming into a room..
know'n' full well there a darn power outage... but do it anyway   
Just habit or muscle memory or somet'n' akin to that , pretty much done it forever, so I don't blame it on "old-timers disease

Currently 1 here, WC's down some,maybe -12 We were out last night plowing and did salt for what it was worth. Too cold for it to actually work, but at least we could tell the complainers that we put it down. This morning was brutal out there trying to catch up the public areas. My drive is still not done, was too disgusted with the cold to try and clear it

Had a 4-H thing today.  I somehow got roped into being on a committee about somethin' or other.  I'll find out what I'm actually doing when it meets...
Though I did finally defeat my friend in a sprint...

Chow will be consisting of left over stew from Thursday.  I'm the only one eating it, and there was almost a gallon made.  At least it's good, hearty stew.

Weather today has been foggy 'til noon, and sunny until the sun dropped below the mountains.
