I've had two new USFA guns over the years that had some nasty "trigger slap".   Never could figure out what the actual problem was until recently.

Turns out it is a simple problem and easy to fix.  Problem is caused by the back side of the trigger at the screw hole not being cut down enough to clear the radius on the hammer which both should be 48.5 degrees.   If you have a funny feeling trigger with the parts in excellent shape  (as new)  and when the hammer is falling, something feels a bit off, (as in slapping your trigger finger) this is more than likely a good place to start looking.

Easy enough to replace the trigger with one in spec.   Or simply cut down the one you have to get enough clearance .  Cutting a trigger down might take 5 minutes or less with a decent set of tools.
