Boy, that's a good question,lR. If there is, I sure haven't got wind of it. Don't think there's any in the grave yard out in Arizona, either. If there's any left, that might be the place to look. Or possibly Wright Patterson, or the Smithsonian Air Museum, possibly in their back room storage areas. storing something that big would take a heck of a lot of room.......Buck 8) ::) :-\

None flying. There appear to be two on static display, one at USAF Museum, Dayton. The second was the last one built, restored by Lockheed and is in process of being re assembled at Pima AFB, Tucson.

Queasy Dillo

I seem to recall one on static display at Dyess.  Been a while since I was there, though.  I could be mistaken.  If by some chance there was one at Dyess, it wouldn't be in too good a shape.

Found out there's one at Dayton. There's several links that I've got to go back and get to put up here. Did see a side-by-side picture with a 36 and a 29. It dwarfed the 29.....Buck 8) ::) :o

Ooooh I get to vote, my favorite plane is a torpedo/bomber from WWII, British, the Swordfish.

Thats what the Ark Royal used against the Bismark, the ones that damged it and slowed it for the Battle Ships.  They came roarin' in at 85 mph and the Germans shot way out in front cause they were so slow.

I dunno, I still think watching C-5s doing touch-and-goes from Kelly AFB was a wonder to behold.

They are big freaking beasts.

About once a month, back in the '90's, a C-5 would pay a visit to our local airport to pick up product from Goodyear Aerospace. That sucker looked like a flying apartment building!........Buck 8) ::) :o ;)

I know that now... I always get them mixed up because of the three motors.

Nope, it's a FORD!!!

We had one in at local airport last month. Knew it was scheduled, wanted to book a ride, forgot about it. Until it flew over the house a couple of times.

Missed the opportunity for a ride, but it was a very cool experience to watch and listen to it.

Now THAT is great information. If I get another opportunity, I'll ask for a fly over a certain house.
