WW '73 Unfix

I have considered getting one of the new WW '73s when and if I wear out my Uberti (if they are ever offered in .45). However,I do NOT want a short stroked gun. I want a '73 like they were originally made (and yeah I KNOW they did not come in .45 Colt), is it possible to remove he short stroke stuff?

Are we talking about the Miroku made 73? If so they are most definitely short stroked compared to an original 73 or a Uberti. Franklin said he wanted one like they were originally made.

I handled one in 45 Colt in a local shop today, and find it to be much superior to the Uberti at present, and cheaper to boot.  It does have a mild short stroke, and is very slick right out of the box, which saves several hundred dollars of additional work as required on most Uberti's .  Not to mention that the wood is really pretty, another advantage.

I'm hunting for one in 44-40 at present, preferably the CCH version with fancy wood.
