Lucky Irish Tom

Arcey, was driving to an interview about 12:30 today as I drove past a stand of trees I noticed something in the field about 20 feet away. It was a large bird having a snack and at first I thought Turkey Vulture, they are all over out this way. When I was about even with the bird the head came up to see who was disturbing its repast. Bright white feathers on the head and a large yellow beak, I don't know which one it was or if there is a new one in the area, but it is the first I have seen since HK was out by the prison. Of course I was in a hurry and didn't have my camera.

Mornin'.

Forty sumthin' out. Guessers say that'll be about it for the day. Go on ta say it's gonna get breezier. Pretty much February. To be expected I suppose. Could be 'n has been worse.

I'm grateful for the experience, Tex.

Wouldn't think it was HK, cuz. Sterling 'n hisownself er too busy nestoratin' to ramble. Ain't heard from NC since New Year's eve. He was at Bower's Hill then. Think the transmitter's finally quit. Could be a bird folks ain't gotta grip on 'er yet. There's a pair hangin' o'er Edinburgh way a couple folks got some shots of. No doubt more. Ain't no tellin'.

Things ta do 'fore I get to the other things I got ta do 'n don't wanna do none of it 'cause it don't involve shootin' guns or cameras.....

The Cawffee and Hot water are ready to drink. Enjoy! It is still dark outside and the temp is in the low 40s, with a high in the low 60s. The weather folks are predicting rain for Sat. And Sun. Errands to run today. I bought a Rock Island 1911 45acp on line from J&G Sales yesterday. Hopefully I will get it sometime next week. I will be ready for Wild Bunch shoots.

Congrats on the RI , reviews have nothing but kudos on the Armscor guns, I bought a Cimarron 1911 about 3 months ago..
Same folks 'sept the name on it.
I got the high polish blue, bought 5 pack of Chip McCormick of magazines off eBay.

So far I've had some generic gun show Military ball ammo, some Winchester FMJ's & some hard lead pills from Space Coast Bullets
reloads through it, with no hiccups....

It impressed even a die hard Les Baer Custom guy, who calls himself a Les Baer snob  ;D

Sorry about the snow, Major. This is usually the time that we get bad weather around here. The Stock Show seems to attract the bad weather. M2, I bought 6 of Chip's mags, a Merinckle Wild bunch holster, and 2 matching double holders. I will be ready for a match, when the pistol gets here. I got all of my trip stuff done yesterday on line. I will get there about noon on Thurs, and I am booked for 3 days. I will be at the Ramada with you guys. I also got a rent car as well. Iam flying again, it only takes an hour to fly up there.

Pay someone to learn how to cook the old, old fashioned way, sounds sorta like a Yuppie fad to me.

Naw, not really yuppies as such, would be more people who already know and want to get rid of the Kingsford crutch or learn right from the beginning.    Guess you could call it de-yupitizing them.   ;)

Plenty out there teaching modern charcoal, few teaching wood, ain't hard, have taught several, even taught Slim on day by phone, sitting on the cab of The General to get a good signal and my coffee pot and a cup.   ;)

I have had the pleasure to have Del's meals at the Musters and Rock Creek Station. They have all been good, even pizza. Breakfast is always my favorite meal, any time, any where.
