To all,

Pedersoli's Remington revolver bullet recommendation is .454 diameter.
This would indicate a minimum bore diameter of .448 (+or- of about .0005 of an inch).
However, within their bullet code # listings, they do offer a round ball with a diameter of .466. I would have to assume this is a bullet designed for use with a very thickly patched round ball in a Muzzle loading .50 cal. firearm. (these are usually about .490 round ball)

I had a pair of Uberti Army cylinders opened to .450.  Ruined their performance. Couldn't keep them on a paper plate at CAS ranges.

Now that's interesting.  ??? Did you ever slug the barrel groove?

I wennt to the Pedersoli site once to ask questions bout the Remington and the Rodgers and Spencer. E-mail talked to a rep  named Gloria. Answered all the questions.

A pair of Uberti Army cylinders opened to .450 and they shot that bad to not stay on the paper at case ranges? What a mystery.

The barrels of those cylinders are usually real close to .451 inch. They shouldn't have shot that bad if that was the case. Something must be really wrong somewhere. Shootin balls or conicals?

Shooting round balls with real black(Probably GOEX, but it's been a while). Roughly 25 grs with a lubed wad. I did slug the barrel but I can't remember the results. Not off the charts.
Lost my cool and sold them.  Fluted cylinders, pretty guns.
