After the outdoor Cowboy Action Shooting season ends here in Wisconsin we hold monthly Indoor Cowboy Action matches at a local indoor range. Matches are held in December, January, February and March. This is our fifth year of holding these indoor matches.

The match consists of three Pistol stages, three Rifle stages and one Wild Bunch stage. Two Pistols are used and staged on a tray in the shooting booth. The Rifle is held at Cowboy port arms. After the Shooter is finished shooting the stage, the targets are retrieved and scored. After the scoring is completed a fresh set of targets is put in place for the next Shooter using spray adhesive.

We can get creative on the stages and always have some interesting reloads and bonuses. We usually get 12 to 18 Shooters at a match and go out afterwards for a burger and some of Milwaukee's finest.

Attached are samples of typical stages we shoot.

Everyone likes the opportunity for some practice over the winter months. We especially enjoy the socializing after the match.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

That was a great deal of fun and I look forward to doing it again next month.
