I bought this original Spencer rifle bayonet from the Horse Soldier in Gettysburg a while back in hopes that I would be able to use it on my Armi-sport Spencer. Unfortunately, I later learned that the reproduction Spencers have their lugs soldered on in a different location. I don't have an original Spencer, so it is time to pass it along to someone who does. It is in good condition, with just a little pitting on the inside of the blade in a couple of spots (see pics). It is properly marked with an H above the mortise. I paid $600 for it.

Nactorman,

Do you have a better photo showing the "H" which should appear just forward of the mortise on Spencer Rifle bayonets?

Thanks,

I've tried to blow the pic up some so that you can see the H better. Let's see if it works...
