Think I could eat my weight in brats, sausages 'n such. Had left over sausage for lunch. They's almost hot dogs.

Got everything done. L'il more gun stuff scheduled for tomorrow 'n Wednesday.

Hit the UPS place. Spotted Princess Anne surveying her queendom from the cell tower. Did my bidness 'n whilst the receipt was printin' tolt the lady if she needed me I'd be at 'er back door shootin' an eagle with a Canon.

'Whut? Eagle? Where?'

'Behind yer buildin' sittin' the cell tower. Saw 'er when I parked. Could be there a couple hours or she may have flown already.'

Drove 'round back 'n they both were there - bird 'n human. Didn't have time to wait on 'er to get in the air, left. Caught 'er mate fishin' the river 'bout a mile down a couple minutes later. Still drivin' 'n couldn't get 'im but I know he fishes there now. 'Nother day's comin'.

Got a l'il over a half gallon of broth out the scraps. Could use some salt I ain't supposed ta have. Otherwise right decent. Baked chicken, cabbage 'n 'taters for the evenin' meal.

Try'n get the station wagon scrubbed early tomorrow mornin' 'n get it in the house 'fore the rains come.

Some nite-nite cheese then I'm crashin'.

The Cawfee and Hot water are ready for drinking. Enjoy!  Pigs in a blanket are baking in the oven, they should be ready in a few minutes. We had beans, potato salad, and smoked sausage for supper again. The girls are sleeping in the back. No clue for lunch or supper. It's still dark outside, it feels cool and damp outside.

good late mornin to everyone! Thanks for the coffee TLD... definitely one of the finer mysteries in life: how someone came up with coffee.  man those beans are terrible until roasted ;D

it's like how my anthro friends says about making wine the first time: "hey, that grape juice looks funny... I dare you to taste it!"  (She did their doctoral on wine, so we pick on her a bit lol)

it's patchy here, but nice and brisk.  There's now snow up on the mountains (they go up to about 7,000' here) and a nice easy breeze... instead of those gales we had all fall.

I'm OFF just about everyday.
But then again, I am retired... or is that retarded?
I don't have to go to work either. :)

I, too, have been accused of being somewhat "OFF; I asked the person who said it if he meant I was starting to go blinky, or what?  Just got a screwy look.  As to being re- anything, I say "I got tired, re-tired, and then retired.  I don't have to go to work, either, also.

Thanks for the evenin' cuppajoe, goes over pretty well for me.

Weather: Cool - by the standards a lot of you follow, but not truly cold; windy at times, high clouds, chance of rain - again.

I took a sojourn of some 400 miles round trip to my home town Saturday and Sunday; mostly relatively narrow two lane roads across a lot of empty open desert; I frequently went several tens of miles between seeing another vehicle.  But the scenery was spectacular.  We had rain and snow on Friday, it was still cold and windy, but the air was as clear as could be.  There are a lot of high desert mountain ranges between Las Vegas and Twentynine Palms, California, and many of them had petty white caps or blankets on them, and the clouds were sometimes spectacular.  The drive, at least, was enjoyable; the reason for it not so much, but something that has needed taking care of for more years than I am pleased to admit got done, finally.  I met my Brother - he now owns the home place - and my oldest Son, and finally scattered my Parents ashes in the desert as they had asked in their wills.  They both passed away in 2002, Mom on May 20, and Dad on December 17.  Once I settled the estate and probate, I pretty much turned my back on everything, and their remains got left sitting in the containers on the shelf at the house for all these years.  Well, it's taken care of, now - another bridge in my road crossed.

Gotta go visit the vampires tomorrow, fasting, so I guess I ought to go see about a bite of supper before it gets too late.

Later.
