Del, You can keep the cold up there in Neb. They have single digits and snow in the Texas Panhandle. I am happy with the low 40s here. We had vegetable beef soup for supper last night, more planned for today.

Still in the 20's here. We fixed a post lamp this morning by taking the head off and going into the club house/barn to change the photocell and then taking it back to the post.Stayed warmer that way. While in there we took the Christmas tree down that was in there. Keys to the kingdom tomorrow. Off for New Years Day.They are expecting freezing rain on Saturday, will probably mount the salt spreader on Friday in anticipation of needing it. ::)

afternoon y'all,

kind of chilly here, but it's starting to warm up a bit.  I'm hoping it'll be nice, and preferably not too windy come Friday.  I'm going to be going out to the range and testing some loads in my C&Bs.  It was freezing, literally the day after Christmas when we first went shooting.  Awfully cold to load those guns!

beautiful picture Arcey.

been enjoying soups, gumbos, jambalayas, and cawfee here.  Just trying to stay warm.  Y'all do the same!

I tried to call Stu yesterday, no answer, had a message when I went to break, Lorrie left me (his wife) he is no longer able to talk on the phone, I will try her later and get more details as she said I could.  Will let everyone know when I can.

I knew better than to call her and try to come back into work, I've had a hard time when I talk to him.

He told me last Monday he was going to make it through Christmas because everyone was coming to see him.

He has fought a good fight, I wish he could win it though.

I have a pot of Cawffee, as well. The Hot water is ready too. We had the vegetable Beef soup again last night, with more cornbread. We finished up the pecan pie too. The girls are sleeping in the back. No plans for breakfast, just some fruitcake with my Cawffee for now.

Thanks Glenn! For keeping us up on Stu. Never met him however last year when i was unsettled and bouncing around the country- he offered a place to stop. It meant a bunch to me. We had  DM a few times like most of us have. But only knew him from here. Myself was yet a stranger to him. I will keep his family in prayer.

Just short of thirty goin' ta just tall of forty, clear with a bit of air movement.

Lucked out yestitty. Skunked it the home birds 'n CG. Checked the PAAC 'n caught the pair tagether sittin' a power tower. First time for me there. Difficult shots 'cuz the distance but took what I could get. Caught one of 'em hittin' a fly-thru for lunch.

Eaglets er growin' quick. They'll be gone 'bout the time our new borns are hatchin'.

Hittin' the bank 'n payin' bills'll be the extent of any New Years celebrations.
