Ain't enough CSI tape, for "SHE" & I to work together....

With "HER"  it's  "HER WAY"  I of course tend to lean towards the "Right way "  ::)

"SHE"  wants to get her CCW, so I of course want to stop by the " FFL  ;)" and get the skinny on classes and times....
I also wanted to swing by a Bike shop ( SHE wants one ) so we SHE decides to " lets go look at bike at the bike shop "
and grab some lunch....

Me... "OK, know where one is ?"
HER... Yes over in Kissimmee ...
Me... OK,  where in Kissimmee ?...
HER ...on Orange Blossom Trail...

point of clarity here  Orange Blossom Trail is US 441 run from Miami thru Central Florida , Kissimmee , Orlando and all the way to Ohio !

So somewhere on OBT between Kissimmee & Orlando some 26 miles is this dam bike shop  ???
Oh ! and "SHE" only knows that "SHE" WAS told one was there ! doesn't know the name of the flicking Place...

Ever try to find a place you don't know the name of, somewhere on a highway between hell & high water on Christmas EVE ?
and TRY to stay , PC , Calm &/or cheery ?

And to add insult to the issue, the dam bike she like's is $500  :o
They even had one @  $2500+  are you kidding me $2500+ clams for bike !  :o

I even saw one,  kinda like the old day's like we usta ride ( remember with fenders ) , call them cruiser's now....
Back then we'd pull the fenders off, thought it was pretty cool, remember ?
OK... so I'm looking at all the new high dollar bikes, without finders ( hell everything they had were " no fenders "
even the $2500 bike ) except this one CRUISER , I spy....
First thing I notice , the front fender is on backwards  :-\  told the guy... he's like DUH !  ::)

So it does instill confidence, in a high end mall bike shop, with $2500 dollar price tags , and the kid that runs the place & the kid assembler who just finished the assembling the $400 cruiser in question....  don't know front from the back of a fender when it's painted
and tail finned like its own rear fender....

So here is the skinny ..."SHE" wants one ( SHE has a Schwinn  10 speed Sport bike read Mtn. Style )  but its not road bike
and her plan it to ride with her Sister on 25 Mile charity rides & and fun type thinks like that !  ( thinks is right )

So... She say's to me,  She say's .... (insert higher pitch, female lilt voice here)  "maybe you ( means me ) would like to get one and ride with US !" ( OH and of course the Bro. in law ) ...

I go " yeah ! Right.... I'll go for the $2500 , and it'l have motor on it...I can be the guy that rides along beeping the annoying little horn at intersections, so use guys don't get squashed by traffic.... or save the $$$$ and be the guy driving the SUV with the spare tires & parts with on board bike mechanic....  "

Kinda went down hill from there ...  ;)

well as I was typing my soliloquy above ....

I was remiss to account for the rest of the afternoon... Oh! and we for-stalled the bike buying venture till after Christmas ...

We stopped at the retail pantry , I got Navy bean & ham hocks for soup  :)  yea !
some Onion Bagels & cream cheese & smoked Salmon ...yum

"SHE"  got lasagna makings for tomorrow  & cold cuts for samiches

had good rain pass through awhile ago ...bad stuff they predicted past north of us I guess....

Well , gotta get ready for Christmas service , I go @ Christmas & Easter ....

Merry Christmas to you all , have great day  :D

Major 2,

Make sure it has a cup/water bottle holder, or four.
Cup holders are more important than air pump and tire patch/repair pockets and tool kits.

I wish you and yours well this Holiday Season.

Gotta Sun for the fat lady last Christmas. Beach cruiser made in Miami. $300.00. No fenders, no gears, optional front basket 'n plus-sized padded seat for her plus-sized......... N'er mind. Gotta bike mechanic what'd put fenders on it for a price or ya kin buy 'em off the board 'n install yerownself.  Miami'd been a nice ride for ya.

Waitin' for a feedin'. Rainin' it's butt off it the nest.

Noodles go in my feed it 1800 hrs.

No bicycle stories here. Last week bought wife's Christmas present-Kitchen Aid Mixer(white). Got home from work and what's sitting on the counter- A Kitchen Aid Mixer(black). Her Christmas present to herself, since the Hamilton Beach cheapo died a couple months ago. Good thing I have the recipe(Can't spell Receipt, Arcey). But as it's 5pm on Christ Eve, what is under the tree is what stays under the tree. She says she's been hinting for a new coat, there's no way I'm buying her clothes, unless she suddenly decides she likes Carhart!

Done, tamales is steamin', in a 1/2 hour I got to mix some spices in some ground burger but not kill anyone what can't handle capsium in proper dosages.  Got some of that made in Nebraska (not Texas or NY City) stupp to add to mine.

Got house presentable, no crime scene tape out front. ::)

Just had a lovely dinner. Homemade hickory smoked ham, biscuits, corn and apple cider. Just a quiet dinner, Bing in the background singing his classics along with Buble and Blake Shelton lol.

Remembering friends long gone so that it could have this Christmas just me, half-pint and her mom.

Merry Christmas everyone!  Hope yours is just as fulfilling and cheerful

Tamales on Christmas is a family tradition at our house, since I was a child in the Texas Panhandle. I am wide awake, the girls are in the back bedroom, sleeping. AMC is having Christmas With The Duke, right now I am watching Chism. Chism was a real person, some of the movie actually happened, and the rest is made up Hollywood stuff.

Well, it's 30-somethin here and supposed to get up to the 50's this afternoon.

Kids still asleep here, so the excitement hasn't begun yet. Pancakes and bacon sitting on the table in front of me. 'Bout time to wake them up.

Good Morning Folks! The Cawffee and Hot water are ready to drink. Enjoy! We have opened our presents, I got a bunch of warm pull overs and sweat pants for wearing in the house. I got Moose a Cotton Bowl hoodie for game watching and some Le Cruset bakeware for both of us to use.

Major 2,

There is a gun show here in Melbourne this weekend.
Might be something for you to do if "She" wants to visit with her sister?
Just thought you might like to know.

Hmmmm...Blair, that's to plan "SHE" is dragging me over there , for lunch with them... ;)

I think that might just be the ticket... I could hook up with Space Coast...pretty sure they'll be there.

Thanks for the heads up !

Major 2,

Space Coast Bullets will most likely be set up.
Can't say what the rest of the show will be like.
I've just about stopped going... too much modern stuff for my liking. But this time of year can bring some of the Northern dealers down.

Tamales on Christmas is a family tradition at our house, since I was a child in the Texas Panhandle.

May be a new one here, youngest has got Cealics real bad (not the fake yuppie I wanna go gluten free cause it's cool)  and it is a good one to do for her.  Kids hadn't been over and had them since I started making them this spring.   Sent the leftovers home with her, she was real pleased on that one.    Pays to talk with some of the customers moms and Grandma's when I'm making those high on the sides hats for a certain ethical group.   Got one in trouble the other day, his mom, maybe my age and his grandma and I were talkin' about tamales and why I was making them ate Christmas, of course they make em too, asked him which one of them ladies made the best, it got funny.   ;D

Arcey, looks like you got your Christmas wish, I believe I saw a small eagle head poking out on the cam this morning.

Little smokies this morning, presents are opened and it is quite for the moment.

Ham planned for supper.
