Four-Eyed Buck

Did shingles as a younger fella. Weren't any fun then either, emerged under my right shoulder blade. Doc gave me tetra cycline. Stuff did a number on my stomach, plus, had a bad taste in my mouth. Eatin' wasn't a very pleasant experience ::) :-\

29,clouds here ::)

Mornin'

Rainin' 'n they're guessin' 'bout fifty for a high.

House has someone in it ain't supposed ta be here this time onna Monday. Happens e'er year 'bout now. Thinkin' it's gonna be this way awhile.

Daughter #1 had the stuff when she was a teenager. Weren't a good thing. But Bradshaw did good. Spot has actors miming football in uniforms with no offensive team logos on 'em. Got horses 'n cowboy hats.  Life in someone else's shoes. Informative 'n touchin'. Bradshaw's been in a hollywood movie so the message rings true. Brought to you by Merck & Co., Inc.

Like ta have some chicken sumthin' soup but I ain't gotta dead chicken. Hafta think on sumthin' else.

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee.

'Tis 32 and sn*wing. "Cloudy. A chance of light rain and snow in the morning... Then light rain and snow likely in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Nearly steady temperature in the mid 30s. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent." Might got 1" by tomorrow morning.

The menu on Saturday changed.  The grilled steak became Steak Diane.  Turned out great!  Would post picture, but there are problems between my camera and Windows 8.

I find the Shingles commercials with Teri Bradshaw a lot better than the Super Beta Prostrate commercials with Joe Theismann.  They ran his commercials so often I got so tired of hearing about his urinary problems.  The fact they repeat the product name so many times during the commercial drives me nuts.  Even when the newer commercials come on I have to either change channels or hit the mute button.

I believe I had the Pox when I was a little one, but the brother-I-do-not-acknowledge, threw out a bunch of family memorabilia including the Family Bible, that had all the records in it.  I guess I have the virus, and will hope for the best.

Thanks for the cawfee TLD.  It's actually clearing up here, but it's also gotten colder and windier.

that steak looks mighty fine Russ.

my cat's being a pain, meowing a lot right now.  I'm thinking he has a stomach issue.  The funny/adorable thing is the 4 year old half-pint likes to diagnose and take care of him.  She really can too.  She's got that natural gift.

Hey y'all.

Sorry for being so far away.  Stuff has been happening.

For instance, my amigo got his truck stuck in some really slimy mud.  Like, axles under an inch of slimy mud.  We've spent the past two days trying to get it out.  Even hooked it up to another 1/2 ton truck.  Broke the chain.   :-\

Back to getting trucks out.

Hey Trinity,

good luck gettin that truck out.  Sounds like ya might be needin one of these! :D

either that or it's too soupy and all that'd do is get an even bigger rig stuck.  Been there.  Sometimes just a well-kept light jeep with good tires and low gears is all that's needed.

that,

and lots of Sam Adams after! ;D

That American General should do the trick, if not, You might try an M-88 Tank Retriver. Moose is bringing Chinese take-out for supper, and some Bud Lights.

'sroom burgers & a gratin potatoes ( with an E ) is on tap....
must be my day for Fungus had some on my 1/2 sub @ lunch  :)

Hear tell fungus is healthy.

Like ta nuke up the family sized Salisbury steak thing 'n dump rice in it. Kept readin' the stroganoff receipt (can't spell recipe) on the back the box 'n sayin' I was gonna try it. Did. Not bad a'tall. Didn't think ta take a pitcher. Did have fungus in it too.

Skies over M2-land gonna have a brand new bird in 'em 8 ta 10 weeks from now. L'il gal's pecked a hole in her shell big 'nuff ta get 'er beak 'n half 'er head out. Weren't doin' much a few minutes ago. Prolly sleepin'. Takes a lot of energy. She already knows how ta make a racket. Could hear 'er peepin' from under momma.

that is so awesome Arcey you have access to stuff like that.  My lady is going to get started in falconry when we get our place all settled.  It's going to be tons of work, but very rewarding too.

if y'all don't mind, I don't know if it's because I haven't been on in forever, or that because of real life I was a wee-bit of a flight risk lol, or I posted it in the wrong sub-category... I created a thread over in the historical section, and not a peep yet.  The views have gone up a bit, but yeah, just wondering if it's being ignored, or if for some odd reason I intimidated people with my questions?

I dunno lol  but if any of you have the time, are curious, whatever, can y'all pop over to it and let me know what you think?  I don't care if you think it's a terrible idea, or if I posted it wrong, or wrote like an idjit, feel free to reply lol ;D

I appreciate it

I'd give an answer, but I'm pretty well clueless on that, too. :)

We did get the truck out, after 24 and a half hours.  It required 70 feet of chain/ recovery strap, and two Dodge 3/4 ton Cummin's trucks.  That ole' Chevy was stuck past the axles...  I'll try and get a picture up here in a while.

Here's a picture of my friend next to his truck.

The truck is a stock '79 Chevy 3/4 ton.  The person next to it is 5'8.   He normally has to step up to get into it. ::)

I am glad that you guys finally got the pickup out of the mud. I never enjoyed being stuck in the mud or snow. The Chinese take-out was spicy, but good. The Bud Lights were good and cold. The girls are asleep in the back bedroom and I am wide awake as usual.

yeah, that truck was definitely stuck ;D

glad you got it out eventually.  Reminds me of a friend who bought a Jeep Cherokee, got her stuck in one of those cow watering holes outside of Flagstaff ;D LORD that was a fun day.  Luckily his jeep was lighter than that truck!  Main reason he got stuck was the shifter slipped out of drive into neutral half-way through it ::)

Good lookin' plate, Russ.

First partner in IA bought his boy a 4X4 p/u ta drive ta school 'n errands. Figgered ta commandeer the thing for haulin' stuff 'n use in bad weather. One the first things happened was callin' sumbody ta pull the thing out a field. Reckon he laffs 'bout it now, weren't funny then.
