Alrighty then.  I've been making holsters for a bit now but recently got a challenge.  Well several.  Just made a holster for a mare's leg and the belt is fine but where in running into an issue is a regular drop rig.  Trying to calculate and figure the patten for the gun belt.  It's for a 45 with a 9 inch barrel.  The holster isn't a problem.  Was gonna order some patterns but on the short end of the pension until the first and I have to get this done by the first cause I'm headed home to Texas for a bit.  Any help would be appreciative.  It's just how to figure the curve into the pattern and the amount of drop and placement of the drop in the belt.  Figure a 3"wide ranger belt type rig.

Gus this may help you a bit it is a pattern and instructions incluing measurements drop placement etc. It is a pattern by Roy Siefert aka Eight Bits. he allows his patterns to be freely passed around. If the PDF does not download for you. PM me with your email and I will email it to you. I have had problems in the past trying to post PDF's

What I consider the best method of doing this, patterns included, is the Gold Canyon pattern set from Will Ghormley and you get a realy attractive holster pattern thrown in for no charge!  A little different but instructions on how-to do layout  for a full contour belt is explained in the John Bianchi video set.  After watching the tapes it will be easy to make your own custom patterns BUT the drop amount is left for you to justify??  I actually prefer straight belts for myself but contoured can vary so much, person to person, due to sex, body shape and weight that I think figuring it would be an art unto itself.

Thanks gentlemen,  I'm sure this'll get me by for the moment.  Appreciate it.
