Lucky Irish Tom

Mornin, thanks for the coffee M2.

It is 37 here in Chesapeake and still dropping, the low is supposed to hit around 9AM and the wind is supposed to pick up.

One of the nice things about living where there is a lot of open area, the breezes keep it from getting too hot in in summer. Unfortunately those same breezes make it cold as heck in the winter.

Guessers guessed low of 9, but my personal confuser says it's 16.....hope the confuser's right, but it don't make all that much difference, cold is cold.

Fir's crackling in the stove, water and coffee should stay hot for a while after I venture out to work in a few.

About 4 degrees warmer than thought to be here still well below both normal and freeezing.  I don't know how'd da  beach got so lucky with 70. It's 50 in central florida this morning. Course reports of 9 in Evansville Ind.  only 5 states teporting above freezing temps.

Be off to Gadsden in a bit... Coffee and chores first.

Victoria and I slept in this morning. Oatmeal and Toast are planned for later. I am on my second cup of Cawffee this morning. It feels like a 2 Pot morning. The sun is out and I hope it warms things up outside.

Bottomed out at 22 this morning, trying to push 60 for a high.  Just broke freezing!

She-Who-Still-Works took a vacation day for a doctors appointment that got cancelled, now today seems like Saturday.  That's going to screw up my whole week!  ::)

Have a nice sized Chef's salad waiting for me when I get off of here. Now 12 with a WC of -4 still. Luckily we had a short morning, with just a few frozen hinges and locks to deal with. Tough to get into the gated areas when the gates are stuck shut with ice.

Finally got the mileage rebate card from Kia, so I'm going to get a couple tires put on the hamstermobile this afternoon. They're going on the front for better traction ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Delmonico

Need to go check the kitchen and make something in the 'lectric dutch oven for my supper involving some stuff laying around, found part of the remains fo some critter in the freezer the other day and have it thawed.  Gonna make something kinda Tex_mex and if she has other ideas I can eat it later in the week.

Off today, had a rough day at work yesterday getting stuff ready for you know what.   Ended up printing tags at the store in Columbus 100 miles away, decided to call them and see if they'd deliver them, nope, had to reprint them on a Lincoln printer.  LOL  They were glad I called because they were confused why their printer had spit them out for an item they don't carry.  LOL

Dead animal stuff turned out to be a package of smoked pulled pork and one of brisket, left from when SD worked at a place, are part of the brisket cold, tossed the rest in with the pork and added some spices, go some corn tortillas left and other stuff, will make some enchiladas for a couple of days for me, hope she don't want any, she ain't gonna be happy, made the last batch to her taste and she ate them one meal. ::)

Express my sympathy ta Elizabeth for me, cuz.......

Saw birds, didn't shoot 'em. Pulled the binoculars ta look the GC o'er. Spotted HK er Sterling, one the two, in the air headin' north. Way too far off.

Hit the SportsPlex. Spied one the Landstown birds circlin' 'n lost it in the sun. Turnt the station wagon 'round 'n couldn't find it. Headin' out, spotted she/he again. Pulled the station wagon off the road 'n watched it hover then dive.  Prolly for somethin' warm 'n fuzzy. Disappeared behind the trees the reappeared above 'em climbin' 'n headin' north towards the hospital. That's a heck of a sight, fellas. Couldn't see what got got 'n it happened too fast for me ta try a shot.

By then it was almost ten. Went ta Sam's 'n scored some dope. Then home to household drudgery. Try again tomorrow.

Fish w/ horseradish 'n wild rice. Hope ta heck I nail the collards next week they way I did this evenin' with the ones the fat lady brought home from school. Ham seasonin', didn't have any salt pork, a sprinkle of a local done pepper blend I picked up at a food truck redeo 'n a drop of cider vinegar. Just did get a bowlful. Cooked down ta not much.
