Decided when I get my first book done, going to write a second one, taking notes now, it's going to be on how to baffle Yuppies by using your common sense old time skills they don't learn in their "Living off the Grid" internet groups.  Still ain't figured that one out.


Got to talking about corn cobs on the cooking group today, a couple dang fools had never heard of burning them.

Glad to be back. Been keeping up with you all, but keeping to my self. Probably about enough of that.  If you haven't heard from Del, the bad news is that the cancer has me whipped.  The doctors & I are done fighting it & focusing on the quality of whatever life I have left.

Four different docs all give about the same guess as to how long I'll last. I hope they're wrong, if not we're looking at between now & January.

The hardest part has been tellin people about it. This is no exception.

I hit the offsite pantry for Nathan's Hot Dogs with chili ( no beans ) & Mac & cheese  tonight, picked out a roast & red potatoes the for the crock pot tomorrow.

Grandkids, wife and daughter are going to Breyerfest today at the local Tack Shop.

I will be home waiting for our new washing machine, fortunately we have a home warranty so all we paid for was the diagnostic call on the old one to determine it couldn't be fixed. The new one is a Sears Kenmore but it is supposed to have the same capacity and features as the old one.
