I am back from Afghanistan, back from two weeks in Europe and back from our Father/Son hunting trip in Texas.  While in Texas, I was hunting on a gentleman's property who had a Cowboy Action  Range on his Ranch.  Truth be told, I would have rather shot the range than hunt hogs; but lacked my CAS gear.  He did get me behind an 1864 Confederate copy of a Sharps Cavalry Carbine.  I was able to ring some steel with some holy black...  I figured God was talking to me.  It's time to come back  to CAS.  I am excited to be shooting a match this Sunday.  Colonel Diamond has already put the GAF Muster on my schedule for next June.  Looks like my Nettleton USFA (Just heard they went out of business) will get some exercise.

Might brake down and get that Sharps I have had an infatuation with for years too...  Look forward to seeing you on the range.  I will be the guy with a big smile on his mug.

Glad to hear it! I've been wishing he could attend too.

I look forward to you seeing it too. Have you watched any of the videos yet? I think you'll really enjoy the format we're using now. Most folks love it! http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,49080.0.html

Thanks Jerry, Charles and Major!  So happy to be home.  Right now I am up to my eyes in a years worth of "Honey Do's."  There are a number of things that went a stray with the house and vehicles that was put on hold until I got home.  I will look at the videos.

I broke down and bought a Berdan's Sharps from Fall Creek Sutlery.  I have been told it would take up to a year to come in.  Oh well.  Hurry up and wait is a skill I excel at.

You may want to call Regimental Quartermaster in Gettysburg, they don't mention Back Order on their rifles.  Went thru process up to where they wanted my CC info

Larry,

I was thinking of you today.  I found two pair of grips I bought off of you for a pair of Remington 75's that I plan to install.
