Incidentally - some 'smiths will remove that short, press-fit cylinder pin bushing and install a full-length one.

Anyone actually done this?  If so, can you tell me what all is involved?   I have the ability to fit either style bushing but don't have both cylinders in front of me to compare.  What I would like to do it knock out a too short press fit and fit a removable instead. Appreciate the help!

In that single sentence is exactly what you have to do.

Remove the short bushing and drill out the cylinder to fit the new cylinder bushing's OD, then adjust for OAL.

Sounds easier than it can be, and it all depends upon the precision and patience of the machinist.

Scouts Out!

Thanks.  Can you suggest any one handy that drills them out on a regular basis?

Along the same lines anyone have a reliable source for the press fit bushings?
