Great tractor videos, Del.
I met a steam traction engine on a semi flatbed the other day. Smoke was coming out of the stack.

Mornin'.

'Bout seventy goin' ta eighty somethin' 'n clear.

P/Oed bright 'n early.

Hadda fatality late last week at one the routes out the 'hood I use a bunch. Driver's alive 'n relatively unhurt. Passenger's dead. City's determined it's a 'crash prone' intersection. Been 36 wrecks there since May of '12. Do the math, '12 ain't a typo 'n the first week of October, '14 is history. That ain't crash prone.  The number of successful crossings of that intersection during that time has to be well into the hundreds of thousands but the city's gonna screw it up so I can't use it as I have for the last 24 years.

An idiot crossin' in a minivan got t-boned by a school bus. A freakin', big, bright yellow, flashin' white strobe light on top, SCHOOL BUS! Thankfully there were no kids on it.

The driver's statement to the clown reporter (Andy Fox, cuz):

"I looked down the street, to the right, didn't see nothing. So I went across, next thing I know I got T-Boned."

Boore claims he never saw the bus, but it was there (No s**t? Really?). WAVY.com asked him to explain that.

"I don't know where it came from or anything like that ... I am not stupid enough (Apparently you are!) to pull out in front of an oncoming bus. If I had seen the bus, I would have done everything I could to get away from it," he said.

Video's on the station's web site.

No drivin' ole fart. That coupled with bein' an owner/driver of a '00 Mercury Villager tells ya a bunch.

Yep, them inter-dimensional rifts that occur in Duh Beach cause school busses to appear out of nowhere all the time.

If you never saw it coming its because you never bothered to look.

Maybe he should just be hung.   BTW around here there would be a good chance he would spend some jail time for MVH even sober.

How in the hell do you 'didn't see nothing' like that?

Van's in the fence ta the left the F-150 'n the bus. Bounched off the bus 'n inta the pick up. Me 'n the station wagon sat right where the pick up was just yestitty. Maybe a thousand feet from the crib. Done so eleventy-fourteen times headin' back from the off sites on Holland.

Hope they've charged 'im with reckless.

We have a DWI in jail her, drunk, hit a kid who was headed to school on his bike, kid flew free, not good but most likely will make it.  The caught the SOB with the bike still under the pick-up at his house.  Still in jail, bond is $200,000.

The school bus drivers at Duh Beach will probably have to undergo mandatory training on how to avoid Dumb Asses that aren't paying attention.

Regardless i am glad there were no signifcant injurues or fatalities.

Been to the range today (sorry Del) had a good time. Couple guys at the rifle range.  I took advantage of the empty pistol shed. Used multiple target stands and practiced mag changes double triple taps. Moving to and away from targets. Also some upclose from the holster shots. *note* paper targets do not hold up at point blank. Mostly Glocked, did try my friends Sig.  Also did the same with revolvers and my Marlin carbine.
Also tried some of the .357 leverlutions rounds. I did like these. I will keep
These around for better use.

Then did some tactical shot gun .

Then all loaded up went to leave. Brakes went to floor. Blew a line on right front. Creeped back home then to shop.  Coming off mountain in granny gear.

Waiting for mechanic on it.

Did have a good lunch of catfish beans and tater salad. At Bluegrass BbQ in Moody Alabama. Awesome food

Roo, I hope you can get the brake repairs completed. You gotta have brakes! Your lunch sounds good for supper. Moose has not got home from school, so supper plans are still up in the air.

Mathew 5.9

The Trinity Kid

Afternoon y'all.

On the subject of car crashes, we had a pretty decent one here not too long ago. Fella drivin' down the highway in a log truck missed the sign saying 30MPH (the one that's about 6 feet tall), and hit a 180 degree corner at 55.  As can be imagined, the whole load spilled...unfortunately, it was right into the middle of a group of motorcyclists.  One died, and I think three were taken to the hospital via helicopter.   Closed the highway for almost 24 hours.

Anyway...
School marches forward...slowly.  From the glass-half-full perspective, I only have a year and a half of this left.  From the half-empty camp, when I'm done with HS, I've got another 4 years of college... :-\

Swinging back around to cars, does anybody want a '94 Ranger?  Went out yesterday to check some stuff on it, stuff that required a running engine...  couldn't get it to run.  It would start, run for about a second or two, then die.  Pretty certain it's the fuel pump.  Also, looking from the outside, it seems like there is dried, caked mud in both differentials and the wheel bearings.  I don't have the time/money/facilities to fix this truck.  So, I'm looking for a different vehicle...again.  Right now, I'm deciding between wanting a Diesel F250, or an older CJ7...  What y'all think?

Go with the Jeep just check the frame for rust where the belly pan bolts on, also make sure the windshield frame isn't rusted out.If you find one with the 4.0 six cylinder they will run forever with proper care.
