The cold front is still with us. The grass is still growing, so I went out and mowed the yards. I had some cheese and crackers for lunch. We need a little sunshine to warm things up a little.

My grass has seemed to go dormant.  Gave it a last cutting yesterday.  Will continue to lightly water until the end of the month, then shut down the sprinkler system for the year.

Pretty windy here. Just a few spritzes of rain so far. We got two more sign posts replaced, and had to pick up a BUNCH of the decorative rocks for the flower beds that our darling children here tossed all over yesterday at the barn >:( ::)

They need to have a place kids can have good rocks to throw, at least they were being creative and not playing a video game about throwing rocks.   ;)

Probably gonna hear about today, or maybe not, SD has got smart enough most times to shut up when you get a free babysitter.  Have just the cas-a-shit thing on the downside of the engine and it sounds OK, hold off on the shift point and accelerate a bit more than normal and they think it's cool.   8)   Went and visited work, they were tellin' everyone their Grandpa is cool, looked at tractors and boots to get ideas for Christmas.

Went and got pumpkins at Wally's place, but took the long way around, even found a 1/2 mile of dirt road that was a little muddy, just enough to toss some outside the pick-up, not muddy enough to have to lock them in or tear up the road.   Course I new where to find the road, bout 7 miles south of the City Limit.

Found this'n in my travels. An example of the '40 Ford front end treatment with the rest stock bug.

The roast reminds me of why I don't do 'em often. The aroma is about to drive me nuts 'n it's gonna be 'nother couple hours 'til I can eat it.....

I'd forgotten about those,Arcey. Kind of a pre-curser to the Chrysler throw back vehicle ::)

73 or 74 Super, note the curved windshield and the non-shock bumper holes on the fenders, 71 or 72 used the almost straight standard beetle windshield, 75 had shock bumpers.

Lucky Irish Tom

We did a roast last weekend Arcey, same problem the smell drove us crazy all day long. With 5 here to feed there weren't any leftovers.

A 1/2 stick of butter on each after searing makes it even better esp using buffalo which has less fat.

Arcey, I never have tht problem with making a roast, because we always use the slow cooker when we're not going to be home. Nice to go out all afternoon, and come home to that smell....and taste!

We made a lasagna yesterday afternoon, almost finished it off tonight, even Little Miss picky eater likes that. Still getting a few snaps from the garden, they made a nice side dish for it.

The Trinity Kid

Evening y'all.

I am wet.  Rain started about 6:15 this evening...about the time I walk to band practice.  Hasn't stopped three hours later.

That's all from Trinity County.
