Kids are coming over, they want pancakes tonight.   Went and watched the tractor truck pulls for the breast cancer benefit my brother and his friends put on, not a points thing, just a run what ya brung type thing, LOL was cold between warming up at the trailer and warming up before his first run he used up too much fuel and didn't fill it, ran out about 175 on his first run and burnt up the tranny at about 250 on the second run.  He wasn't real concerned about the tranny cause it had been giving him trouble and knew it was going to crap out.

Made some "snow" salad up for yesterdays game day. Plenty left over gonna whittle it down next day or so.

Pleasant  65° early on... guessers say's 85°  spec they gonna be close,  82° now just before lunch....  as for that no clue

Afternoon Y'all, went to the last CAS shoot of the year for the Pa club, was a nice day, started cold(32degrees) but warmed up to low 60's. Shot fair, had 3 clean stages and 1 miss each on other 2 also had a "P" on one of the two, was my own fault went too fast and lost count on rifle targets. Wife made chicken soup from scratch for dinner(as soon as the rice is done) Have a good one.

We are enjoying the cool weather. I put a pot of beans on, I have potato salad and smoked sausage to go with them. It should be a good supper.

All the food sounds real nice, y'all. Folks on here gotta be full. She did a chicken succotash thing. Tasty 'n simple. Got me a loaf of bread coolin' down. Slice it in the mornin'.

Alice hadda hen in the cage at the market with four two week old chicks. Cute l'il things. They'll grow up ta be delicious. Got some stuff there then went 'cross the street ta the SportsPlex. Eagles made an appearance but they were flyin'. Weren't no way I was gonna get a shot. Too far off 'n they weren't gonna roost where we could see 'em. Too many people 'round screamin' 'n yellin' at the games goin' on.

I grilled the smoked sausage and put some BBQ sauce on it. It was tasty with the beans and potato salad with plenty of iced tea.

Did some brush hogging/chain sawing/brush stacking after church, but still found some time to shoot the Krag a bit, shot a target for the Surplus Rifle Forum postal match, won't be a winner or even close, only 82. Maybe better luck next week. Used some unknown powder the local gun shop got last summer, Maxam CSB-2, supposed to be between Unique and Herco, maybe I need to lad a few with my remaining Trailboss and see if it groups better.

I got woke up by the rain about 0200 and I can't go back to sleep. We need the rain, It is the slow kind, I hope the ground is soaking it up.

Used ta be a total a**hole o'er the the troops bein' late. Hadda be real careful 'bout it myownself 'n they wouldn't ferget it. Often wunner how many called in sick for the day at 0715 hours cuz they o'erslept a bit.

Eight years at my last job. Late twice once due to a blizzard.  I hate tardiness. It is loke thumbing your nose at your co- workers and job.

It is second to no call no show.

Late happens  

30 years ago use'ta have a guy had every excuse for being late ...from running over neighbor dog/ cat  and took it to a vet ..
to the bridge was up...train stopped on-crossing  etc...
got so bad I printed a list and for him to check off when he came in...

One day he's a no show... and later than normal , turned out he was killed in two car accident on I-95 & Belvidere Rd. Exit

Had one wantin' me ta call 'er 'n make sure she was awake e'er mornin'. Ahhhh... No.

'Nother'n was ordered to submit a memo with the excuse(s) in plain English. Reached the point she was told it was goin' forward for disciplinary action next occurrence. Next occurrence I wrote 'er up 'n submitted copies of her memos along with the letter recommendin' an L. Rep. She played the sex card in 'er response. Command backed me. CoP said no, conduct command counseling. 'N who'd the command assign ta counsel 'er? Me. Makes sense, huh?

When I was doin' my last stint in IA, package lands on my desk 'n directions ta prepare suspension papers on 'er for habitual tardiness – same one. My problem child was someone else's PITA now. Read the documentation 'n sure'n hell she'd played the sex card again.

Coffee's gone. Thinkin' I'm late gettin' to what I got ta get to.
