I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Would feel a little guilty reporting that I slept 7 straight hours I it hadn't been with the aid of a prescription pain pill.

Busy weekend planned. Helping the Student Council run the concession stand at this evening's football game.  Tomorrow we're peddling popcorn at the big car auction. Sunday is Dress Rehearsal for the Musical.

Monday morning I'll see the cancer doc & find out the plan for the next round of that fight.

60 degrees & a light rain falling right now. 'Spectin a high of 69.  Hope they're right, was a hot one yesterday.

Texas Lawdog

Thanks for the Cawffee and grub this morning. I usually sleep about 3-4 hours a night. Victoria and I take naps in the afternoon to make up the difference. Good luck with the next round of chemo, Stu.

Some old lady gets up a lot and says crap, crap crap, she tries to laugh but can't when I say no it's cramp, cramp, cramp.  The Rowdy whines cause he feels sorry for her and I tell her to quit scaring him.  Then I go back to sleep since there is nothing I can do, I've asked plenty.   ::)

I am sure that Rowdy naps a lot when no one is at home. She may be low on potassium, which causes leg cramps. I try to eat bananas and drink orange juice to prevent them.o

Drs say no, it's part of her bad knee problem, I think low on carbonate but she won't try the fix, says it tastes nasty, baking soda and water.

Have her try it with less water. If it will fit in a shot glass she might be able to get it down without tasting it.

Texas Lawdog

Put whiskey or tequila in that shot glass!

I'd have better luck with the baking soda.

She's off on an adventure with two of her cousins today, going to the safari park tween here and Omaha and then to some fish place in Omaha called Joe Tess.  Told her if she gets lost call 911 and they can track her on her cell phone.

Didn't see the pirate ship this morning, but did see a big gold fish balloon that might like the Hague.  The problem would be with the EPA for introducing a possible invasive species to the local ecology.

Two more mornings to find the pirate ship.

Victoria and I had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. No clue for supper. The weather folks are saying that we have a 20 per cent chance of rain for today, tomorrow, and Sunday.

Might not be for Rita's problem- for any of you others who are having leg issues and are losing sleep over it... I highly reccomend this product called Dr Thurston's complex K it is a liquid supplement. Completely safe to use.... Doesn't cure kroup or baldness or women's hysteria.  I know my great granddaddy after the northern occupancy tended to peddle such quackery. I am serious about this it does work.

Picked up some nice looking Muscadines today... Mmmm they are good eating... Cain't wait to eat into them. I may also plant some come spring.

Russ sounds like a feast is set.   Need to get some more fish in the little ice trap.

Lucky Irish Tom

I used to wake up at night with aches and pains and to pump bilges. Told the doctor about it and he asked my wife if I snored. she said sometimes. He had me tested for sleep apnea. Now when I lay down at night whether it is 9PM or 11PM I turn on the machine and put on the mask and I am out till the alarm rings in the morning.
If ya can't be fast it's good to be Lucky!

The Trinity Kid

Evening y'all.

City trip went ka-put.  Showed up for class with the work ready.  The teacher says, "those of you who are done with the test can leave whenever you want."  I left after fifteen minutes. ::)
I drove the car all the way from Whiskeytown today.  For those of you not in the know, that's about 40 miles from my house, over one large summit and a whole bunch of curvy road over smaller hills.  Almost got rear-ended by a semi comin' up.  Guy was kind of driving like a jerk...
Sister and Brother have soccer games tomorrow.  In the morning, I'm going to go do some practicing with the deer rifles, then come back and do some 4x4-ing with my truck.  Might see if I can convince a certain young lady to come along as well. ;)

Now that all the good news is out of the way, I can get to the bad.

My friend's cousin is currently sitting in the Trinity County Jail with a murder charge hanging over his head.  :o  Here's the story as it has been told by the suspect.
Apparently this cousin's dad was out last night driving, when "somebody (nobody knows if it was a person or Bud Light)" made him swerve into a light pole.  This morning, he got upset and grabbed his handgun and told his son he was going to go kill this person.  The son gets between him and the door, pulls the handgun out of his own pocket and tells him he's not going anywhere.  The dad starts to raise the gun, but the son gets his out first and hits the father in the upper right arm.  The father died in the ambulance because of a cut artery.

On the one hand, you got to hand it to the kid.  He did what he felt he had to do.
On the other hand, how does he feel, knowing he killed his own father?
This "kid" is actually 20-some, with a "significant other" and a two year old daughter.

We ended up having burgers and fries from take-out. I laid down about 10 pm and slept till 0100. I can't go back to sleep.
