Anyone use these grips on their Uberti Cattleman.. Sold by VintageGunGrips and made out of hard urethane plastic. Says they are for a Cimarron but will also fit a Cattleman frame. I bought a pair of Gunfighter plastic grips for my Cattleman from Taylors and although they are lightweight they fit the frame almost perfectly.

After I retired I gave myself a real Colt (the one with case harding 0 The other one is a GW2 Debbie found me. it was all blue. I decided it just screamed to have the eagle grips installed. Bob Shaw (Ol Lone$um) RIP, had a pair of real Colt grips, he fitted them, fitted a Colt cylinder pin and only charged me $50. they feel, shoot identical. can't tell them apart.

try to find some good grips.

Those are really nice. Question: did the 1st gen Colt SAA's  come with this option or were they all wood?

The original 1873's? Thought they were all one-piece grips...?

From what I have read, the 1873 Colt revolvers came standard with one piece wood grips until about 1883-84. From then on the standard was hard rubber or "gutta percha" grips.

As a review, of the product Vintage Gun Grips

I have put them on four models , first was pair of OMV the fit was fine... next came a pair of Uberti's, fit was also very good...
this was all 10 -14 years ago.

Lately, I put a set of them on a Uberti #3  , I say put there was no fitting really required, though I did have to relocate the
hole for the frame pin... beyond that they were a spot on fit.
The circa 1901 ,  38 New departure has original grips.
when planets align...do the deal !
