Good morning Folks! It will be another hot day in the Metroplex. I cannot look forward to fall around here because it will still be hot until late November-early December. I will need Cawffee this morning.

WOW! Gots ta do me some research 'fore the holidays. Wanna find some stuff with a kick like this:

TOTOWA, N.J.

A fire official says a mechanical failure apparently caused two explosions at a food laboratory in northern New Jersey, leaving two workers with cuts and bruises.

Totowa Fire Marshal Allen Del Vecchio tells The Star-Ledger (http://bit.ly/1mcP22T ) he felt the blast from Pharmachem Laboratories in Totowa at his house a mile away.

Pharmachem produces ingredients that flavor foods. Workers say they had just started on a new recipe for eggnog when the blast occurred.

Del Vecchio says the first explosion apparently came from a furnace-like device that was heating a vat containing eggnog flavoring ingredients. A subsequent blast apparently involved a pocket of hot air or gas that had built up inside the vat. The entire rear of the building was blown out.

Del Vecchio said several people could have been killed in the blast, had it not been a weekend when only a skeleton crew was present.

"People could have been killed — normal operation, you'd have had five, ten people working in there — that's how violent the explosion was," Del Vecchio said. "The damage was in the millions."

Initial reports of the explosion described the blast as coming from the vat, leaving open the question of whether somehow it could have been caused by the eggnog flavor ingredients, which were not disclosed.

The Trinity Kid

Mornin' y'all.

Well, I'm the man of the house yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Pops is gone to a work meeting down south.

I'm gonna be takin' care of my best friend's "farm"  while he's away at the county fair.  With his couple of fair animals gone, that'll leave me with:

-9 turkey Toms
-2 rabbit bucks
-maybe a chicken?
-1 border collie/lab
-1 Aussie shep/ German shep/ Border collie.

I'm hoping the last one doesn't eat me...  :o  I've known the one dog, the border collie/lab (named Sky) since he was 12 weeks old, so, I'm not worried about that ole' boy.
The other dog, I've known since she was 6 weeks.  The difference is, Sky is almost seven years old.  April is only five months.   She's big...  :-\

Other news includes the possibility of a '46 Jeep.  Maybe, maybe not... ::)

Our weather here is cloudy, but no rain forecast right now.  Rain would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'm back to work. At least what passes for "work" for a school teacher.  Casting the high school musical today. Wish me luck.

Dad used to grow that popcorn, pretty decorations but lousy popcorn in my opinion.  Golden Bantam can be just bought at Earl's  place, cheap with the rest of the seeds or expensive in the rack that says hair-loom seeds.

Two shoot's rained out, ain't got 'nuff .22s 'n school's out. Someone on 'nother board wrote 'e couldn't match the grammer 'n speelin' in my posts – that hurt. Ain't easy bein' po white trash.

Tossed a bunch of rescued yard bird from yesterevenin' 'n uncut cream of chicken soup in glass 'n nuked it. Cup of rice on the cook top. Dumped it in the soup 'n stirred it up. I'd had some lemon I'd squirted it in there but I didn't have any so I didn't. Nuked the contents of a can of black eyed peas. Werked right nice.

The sandman's after me.

I have been deboning them left over rotissery birds- it makes a good chicken salad on a hot day. I render the fat skin and bones in to a chicken stock to give the dogs. It has helped with their weight gain. Mixed with a little rice and their food.

The chicken salad is all in what you want to put into it. I would not be afraid to serve mine to any tv judge..
