Short, LR and Mag in the rimfires, next step up in 22 is the Hornet or was.

That new wonder 5.56 pistil sub-machine gun round has about the same ballistics of a Hornet.

Taurus makes or made some revolvers in the round, would like to see Ruger make a Blackhawk in it, I would buy one.

Morning y'all.

Well, I did a bit of digging yesterday.  Helping my pops dig a ditch for an internet wire conduit.  We had a trencher, but there was so much rock (about 45% of it being serpentine asbestos  :o), that we made it ten feet before we broke one of the pins on the machine.  ::)  Moved to rock bar and shovel, made it about another foot before we ran out of light.  There was a rock that wouldn't have fit inside our 35qt ice chest....  that one hurt when I found it with the shovel.

Once we were all done, I got to have my first experience driving a car with a real transmission(a mid 80's Power Ram).   I only killed it four times, and that was only in the first 20 feet.  After that, I figured it out pretty well.  Made it all the way across the driveway (about 150 feet), then backed it up/ pulled forward again/ backed up again to the spot where we needed to load the trencher.  Never ground the gears, so, there may be hope.  ;D

Rocking motion,TK, co-ordinating the feet, feeling the clutch start to engage. Just takes some practice is all. Not grinding gears is a good thing, cheaper, too ::) :D ;)

Wuz gonna go ta the Grandy Farm Village 'n The Cotton Gin down Carolina since there weren't no shoot. Traffic goin' that way was kinda bad. Got ta the turn for the ole Blackwater Security place 'n turnt around. Hit Southland 'n there was literally no place ta park. Got 'cross 168 ta Border Station so we went there.

The place was full. Stumbled 'round didn't see nothin' special 'cept they had the soft drinks we don't have in duh beach out ta sell individually. Last trip they was inna box of ten. Had the Cheerwine stuff. Big Red. Got me a couple grape Nehis 'n a couple A&W Root Beers.

Rain let up 'nuff ta hit the small produce stand in the parkin' lot. Got some tomatoes, squash, peaches 'n cantaloupes.

Wuz in Virginia takin' the pic, the silver station wagon pullin' inta a parkin' place is in Carolina.

Don't know who belongs ta this Buick:

Mornin', y'all.

Low eighties in store 'n rain on 'n off. They're sayin' sumthin' 'bout a flood warnin'. Mebbe I'll get 'nother BMW.

Need ta feed the jays 'fore the next rain. They're prolly hangin' 'round now waitin' for the fly-thru ta open. Hope ta see the hawk.

Gracie's left duh beach 'n spent a week at a waterfoul refuge 'cross the river from Jamestown. Left there for Charles City County where there's two wildlife refuges ta choose from, a bunch of eagles to learn huntin' from 'n plenty osprey ta steal from. She'll have enough ta eat at either. Suspect she'll meander up ta the Potomac 'n visit the kids in KG 'fore she comes back ta the lower right hand corner. Camellia did 'n Azalea did 'fore him.

Gotta get movin' myownself.

No rain around here for us, but we have cooler temps. We had breakfast on the patio and it was pleasant. I went back inside after my hip started hurting, sitting in the lawn chair. Lunch and supper are question marks.

Was going to make cfs but i think a Sonic's banana split might get it done.

Got the kennel up and started a fall garden. Going do some mowing later this week with  a friend.  Seem to be doing more of that this year than previous 6 or so. My COPD slows me down and my soft delicate hands will not touch a weed eater short of throwing in the dumpster.
Humidity and dust mostly slow me. Yet i plug along from daylight to dark. Not sure what my next client contract will require i may have to learn to mow in the dark.

. Now that i have lived here all of the summer and have worked over night shifts. I now know why the lawn care equipment companys install headlights on mowers. Yes they mow in commerical location till past midnight here.

The fat lady went ta 'her' off site 'n fetched a couple rotisserie yard birds – cheap. They're on sale on Sundays. Lugged back a bag of smallish 'taters too 'n baked up four of 'em.

All I did was rip the extremities off'n one bird, unwrap a 'tater from the oven 'n assemble a small salad for sumthin' green.

Right tasty. My tummy's all full. Beddy-Bye time soon.

We had fried okra, green beans, corn on the cob,and black eyed peas for supper tonight. Moose sliced some tomatoes and cantaloupe to go with them. I ate too much. I went to bed early and now I am awake. The morning Cawffee is ready to set on the fire and the water kettle is ready as well.

Mornin'.

Low ta mid eighties 'n less of a chance of rain than yestitty so the guessers up Wakefield say.

Learnt sumthin' 'bout the weather yestitty what was real important. Come from a youngster who be attendin' an institute of higher learnin'. To wit; rains a lot on the south east coastal areas in the summer. He offered up convincin' evidence by citin' the threat of rain it Pocono, PA yestitty durin' the race.

Was gonna back 'im up by pointin' out the weather in Akron the PGA was dealin' with but he had things well in hand so I didn't bother.

Ennyways...............

Gonna find sumthin' productive ta do.
