Just got home. Tried a new Mexican place in Ogallala for lunch.  The Wife loved it. I thought it screamed out for some tabasco. The food all tasted ok, a really good tamale, but I like my Mexican food to bite me back a little.

Celebrated the holiday with a pound of bacon & some pancakes & eggs sunny side up.

Updated my license to kill. Small game & birds at least. Still need to get a HIP number & I'll be ready for them little migratory morsels.

Got some goose hunting in my future if I'm still up to it when the season opens. An old friend has built a new blind in a good spot.  It's got room for the two of us, a kitchen and a bed to take turns napping while the other watches for birds.  Had the same setup at a blind we hunted in years ago, but he sold the place & the blind went with it.

LIT,

I like a hot or spicy sauces.
Tabasco is not one of them. It is ok on occasion, but not what I prefer.
My best,

One of my favorites is a cheap one called "the original" Louisiana hot sauce.  Tastes like its made from the same peppers as Tabasco, but not nearly as much burn. Can get a lot of flavor without any pain.

Was just spinnin the TV dial & see that the team from Del's local college is giving some boys from Florida some football lessons. Was 31-7 in the second quarter.  Don't really care myself & I'm sure Del ain't watching, but figure there's some sports fans here that might want to know.

Well, I guess I unknowingly celebrated the holiday this morning, and will continue the celebration a bit later with some green beans("snaps" for Arcey) cooked with bacon and taters.

Major 2

I like Original Louisiana hot sauce & Texas Pete...both are mild and usually what you'll find on restaurant tables,

Texas Pete registers 747 Heat Units on the Scoville scale
Tabasco lists  2,500 - 5,000 Heat Units

Tabasco is great in New England Clam Chowder.

when planets align...do the deal !

Depends on where you are I guess.  Around these parts Tabasco is as common as ketchup on restaurant tables.  Never seen Texas Pete's & only remember original Louisiana at one place.  Liked it there & it became my new favorite at home.

Thankee, PE.

Fat lady won't have tuna in oil. In water I don't care for it. Dump in some Texas Pete, mix it up a l'il 'n there's some flavor in it.

Fish was right nice. Had hers with brown rice 'n sweet 'tater fries. I used horseradish sauce on it, did grits 'n a salad. Shouldn't need the race ta lull me ta sleep.

The Trinity Kid

Oh goodness what a day.

We left for the city at about 8 this morning, got there about 11.  Stopped at the first car lot, got out and was a met by a salesman not all together unlike Odo from Star Trek DS9.   ::)  Looked around, and finally found one worth looking at.  It's an '05 Subaru Outback.  2.5 flat 4 with a turbo and 5-speed.  It kind of zips around over the hills. ::)

Home thing is fixed, busy day at work.  They hired a kid this week that worked for us last fall, winter and spring then went home for the summer.  He worked with me a few times and now he's all mine, good kid, fair with hats, at least he wears them, name is Eddy.

Coffee is hot.

Got a hole dug. The sand point and and 21' of 2" pipe are in the ground. Water is in the pipe. Need to punch a hole in the basement rock wall to connect the well pipe to the pump.
