Here's the chart for Uberti barrels (the link is at the bottom of the Cimarron home page).  Doesn't mention any differences for barrel lengths.

Sad but true, even went to Taylor Co to look! nope!  "O" well

That bore twist rate on Cimarrons website is wrong for the 44-40 rifle. I wish it was 1-36 but it is 1-20 on the newer ones I've checked  :(

Yep, with the type-O like you said 1:36/1:20. I would feel better if it had (rifle) like the others listed.

CAL. .45 COLT  (rifle)  18"(406.4) RH .442(11.23) .450(11.43) 6 .156(3.96)

Bet it's 1:18.  How ever I'm a Bigger Loser than winner, when I gamble.. "O" well,  The mystery of the 30 incher in 45 colt "what a twist."

It's not a typo on the 44-40, they used to be 1-36 but they have changed the guns and not updated the info.

I havent checked a rifle chambered in 45 colt.

Other than wanting to know for the sake of knowing, what difference does it make?  The heaviest standard bullet for a .45 Colt is .255 grains.  Won't your rifle stabilize those?

Buffler

O' yes and others! 200, 230,250, 255.. But every thing I log about shooting ask the ? What's the twist rate ?..  I'm calling it 1:18
measuring it myself.. I'm happy

Buffler,

If you had the ability to measure the RoT yourself, why did you come here with your quest ?

Supposedly there is such a thing as too fast of twist, particularly in long range accuracy.
