Pony Racer

Pards, please keep eye out for a Lebel rifle in at least shooting grade condition.

I'll keep an eye out, PR, but I should warn you, I've only ever seen 3 of them in person, and I own two of those. If I see another, I might become 3 for 4.

Pony Racer

Thanks Guys

Major - I will talking to the TX store tomorrow/Tuesday

Mine don't get too lonely, with 2 Lebels, a Berthier carbine and long rifle, plus a Gras thst's pretty much a relic, not sure if it will shoot again. At least your Berthier has the 1873 Ordinance revolver twins to keep it company.

Grenadier

I'm very attached to my Lebel, it's an amazing rifle.

Pony Racer

I have new 44 ruskie loads to try out in my mighty ordinance revolvers.

These are 240 grain bullets that will make my converted 1866 (was 44 special) sing better.

I think they may also do well in my frenchie revolvers. They sure are a pleasure to shoot single action.

I know this guy, he's always got GOOOD stuff, one of my favorite M-N dealers.  That seems a decent BIN price to me?

Civilize them with a Krag . . .

pony express

Looks nice, but I don't have $700 in BOTH of my Lebels together.

Niederlander

Yeah, but Pony, a lot of that depends on how long ago you bought them.  My (very nice) Krag cost me $275,  but it's been a few days!

One of them was last year for $235, the one I had at the Muster last 2 years. Other was about 4 years ago from Gunbroker, but that one did have some "issues", but still is a shooter. I used it the first time at the 2010 Muster in Kansas.

Maybe the anniversary of WW1 has driven them up, I was used to seeing several on Gunbroker at any given time, but only a couple now. That one definitely looks worth bidding on in the 4-500 range, though. But as I said, it's now 100 years, so they're all going up.....

One sold last night on the Gunboards for sale forum, $450. Was only 46 minutes from posting to SOLD!

Pony Racer

Ughhh...dang was too busy with daddy duties to get that one.

I have asked the guy in NC for some more pictures.

We shall see.

If the USCG would release the O-6 message maybe I can convince CINCHOME that it would make a nice senior officer present!:)

Only an hour left, and just 2 bids at $405! Hope Pony racer is watching!

Course if you miss that one, you could try for this one!

Looks cool, but I'd have to half empty my gun safe to raise the cash....

This time of year in USCG is crazy busy.

I am in staff job but getting home way late.

I appreciate everyone's help and hope to snag one of these deals or convince my Boss at home that a higher priced lebel would make a great gift for her "super duper worker-bee"
