If you choose to compete for the Brigade Championship and you shoot in more than one class you must announce prior to the start which class you will be scored in for the BC competition. If you are competing for the BC you must shoot in the same class the whole way through. If competing for the BC you could conceivably shoot a trapdoor in the main match and a military rolling block in the long range as long as they were both BP or both Smokeless. What you can't do and still compete for the BC is shoot BP Trapdoor in the long range and the Krag in the main match or something like that. If you don't care about competing for the BC it doesn't matter what you shoot in each event.

Basicly, if you care about the BC, then the LR rifle should be appropriate to the era, and uniform you wear.

So Far we have the following categories registered:

Military Singleshot (BP and Smokeless)

Smokeless Military Repeater

Smokeless Handgunner

Smokeless Rifleman

Smokeless Militia

Scout

We have some people who I know plan to attend but from whom I have not received a registration, so it looks as though this will be our biggest Muster ever as it appears we will have between 32 and 35 in attendance.

Is there any shooting planned for Sunday?
You mean besides the 21 gun salute?  ;)

If we can get through all the stages on Saturday, then no, but if we don't we may have to defend Ft. Scotsman on Sunday AM

So the Memorial will be Sunday? Don't wanna miss that, if at all possible.

Hey River City John,
Is this something like what you had in mind? There are more than enough for each of the canyons.

Looking forward to christening each and every one!

I am afraid to even wonder how or why you were able to acquire so many latrines.
Are there some construction workers having to hold it somewhere near by?

:'(  I greatly regret to announce that I will not be able to make it to Muster this year .... :'(

Nothing dire, but two or three factors have combined to render my attendance impossible, including a family event and also a significant home renovation project under way ....

I will very much miss seeing everyone ....

sounds like a really good time, wish I could make it, was not in the cards, hope to make it next year.  If the wife does not want to come, may ask to car pool with bow view haymaker.  If I take the dodge crew cab, may car pool even if the wife comes.

GAF Brothers and Sisters, due to circumstances beyond my control, Penny and myself will be unable to attend the Muster later this month.  We have been caught up in a legal issue (victims of a scam), and will require to secure a lawyer to recover some of our loss.  This case is currently ongoing, and can't say much, and may last several months.

We were really looking forward to seeing you all in Nebraska, but now I am all ready for next year!

BTW - I will be contacting the Comstock Lodge to cancel our reservations, so if any of you were turned away recently, check on availability again.  The room I had reserved was for one King-sized bed, double occupancy.

Bummer!  Was looking forward to seeing you here.   Hope all goes well with your case.

Sorry to hear you can't make it either, Dave!  Next year?

If all goes well, at the beginning of June next year I will be participating in various events related to the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Ridgeway (2 June 1866, the first of the Fenian Raids) as part of a unit portraying the York Rifle Company, one of the Independent Militia Companies which took part in the engagement.

If that all works out, I'll have yet another new uniform .... something along these lines -

Rattlesnake Jack Robson, Scout, Rocky Mountain Rangers, North West Canada, 1885
Major John M. Robson, Royal Scots of Canada, 1883-1901
Sgt. John Robson, Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, 1885

Great schedule, thanks.

A quick question for clarification please.

You say the long range and sidearm events will be treated as a stage.  Do you mean they are side matches included in the rotation for scheduling or that each will be included and scored as separate stages as part of the overall match total?

Thanks
Happy Trails
