I've been busy but hope to get some pictures up from the muster in a day or two.

Can't thank the Col. enough for busting his balls to make sure the Muster was as successful and enjoyable an event as he could make it. The same to Ned Neiderlander.

I think I deserve at least partial credit for fixing the trash can lid. I picked it up off the road & gave it to Doug.  He even used my hammer to fix it.

That is true, we all three deserve a medal since I told Jerry he really needed to fill in that hole before he lost anything else.

Filling that D@#&% hole was just one of the things on my list of things to do before the muster that didn't get done BEFORE the muster.  
Unfortunately, I suspect that because I filled it with sand, it probably won't stay filled.

Preparations for next year start today. Maybe I won't have so many last minute things to do that way.

All  kidding aside you do a good job and I'm proud to be a part of it, but you have to admit losing things when hitting the hole and running them over are funny as long as they are minor things.

Actually I find that's a pretty common thing when you haul stuff around in a front end loader. One thing I almost never haul there is my chainsaw, for that reason. Firewood, fenceposts, post driver, rolls of wire.....all that stuff can survive being dropped and run over better than the saw.

Never ran over the saw. But the post maul needed a new handle.....

We had the opportunity to observe a Master Armorer pound the garbage can lid back into a semblance of usability, using just the tools available in the field and handed to him in a nonchalant manner.

"Here, see if this will work."


It was magical!

Yeah, when I put it on after putting the canvas in the can it fit pretty well. Thanks Doug!
