Just back from the local county fair, kids had fun on some rides, we watched the draft horse pulls for a while, never watched that before. Picked up my Blazer from the shop where it's been for a couple of weeks, think I've finally fixed all the damage from taking it to the wrong shop before..... >:(  Be glad to have it back on the mail route. The old Dakota is always eager to work, but with a bit over 235,000 on it, doesn't seem like a long term idea to use it every day that hard.

Sound like a rough afternoon/evening in The Un-Commonwealth. Glad all is well tonight.

The two here have consumed all of my freetime. At the end of each day i see inprovements. Arwyn is well on her way to getting back to a normal body condition. Raina is not only thin, parasites and ticks and fleas have her raw. She reacts to be touched. Both are bonding and very grateful for the additional foods (24% protien dry and a home cooked chicken and rice twice a day. I have added B-12 and some vegetable oil to it also. ) They have soars spots around their collars and shy away from me with leashes. However they now walk willingly once caught. Vast improvement from the first 2 days.  They are not a 100% housebroke, however they go everytime they are taken outside. They both sleep in the same cage at night and have no problem going in it. In fact they go in and out during the day. Arwyn seems to know that Raina is not in best condition and seems to watch over her. She stands guard over her while she sleeps- watches my every move when i treat her soars.
It is a great feeling to help these animals out, to visually see the improvements. To see the sparkle in their eyes. I know if i would find the person who dumped them, i'd end up in jail.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings

Mornin'.

The guessers' scribblin' looks a lot like yestitty. Sher weren't a good day fer white BMWs.

Folks had Shane chained to a tree. Would been a bad idea ta call the police ta come get him in the condition he was in when we got there even tho they wanted to donate 'im.

Shelter's would take 'em but it's easier to cut 'em loose. That's quicker when yer pressed fer time twix doin' dope, practicin' makin' unwanted kids 'n watchin' Family Feud on da flat screen.

My best to the pups.

Seems Va. isn't for Beemers at the moment ::) :o

60 and sun here. Have maintenance stuff on tap for today, pool stuff mostly with a waste procedure for the sewer plant. Wife was painting on our deck, but decided to let this young feller from the park here spray it instead. Guess it's too much work for her ::) :-\
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

With all the fun stuff goin' on, fergot ta say I scored some powder yestitty. Small shop 'ere in duh beach.

Come up with two one pound bottles of Winchester Auto Comp. Maybe not the optimum for some applications but it'll throw bullets down range. Loadin' data looks decent for cast 'n jacketed out the 9s.

I checked 2 local gun stores this week, both had powder, but mostly all slow rifle powders. Had to look up some of it when I got home. Stuff I don't recognize. One shop did have some Win 296, and H-110(I think) but it seems that's mostly good for heavy magnum handgun loads, and I don't do much of that. Inventory at home is down to a can of Power Pistol, half of Unique and half of Bullseye, some 2400 and trace amounts of Trailboss and Green Dot. Looks like I'll just be shooting at matches and not much plinking or practice for a while, until I can stock up. Wonder if I can go low enough with 2400 to get my Lebel and Krag loads down to 1300fps for shooting steel....

Powder seems to be becoming an endangered species, I guess that's why the goobermint is trying to preserve it from all us wasteful folks.

Mornin'.

Might be a l'il cooler taday but not so's ya'd know it. Should be dry. The long, hot summer in the asphalt jungle. Feds come 'round yestitty 'n inspected the damage. Declared tornadoes hit. Suppose that's important in some insurance policies.

Downloaded 2400 back long time ago in .38 Specials with 170 grain Keiths. Unburned powder everywhere. Inconsistent. Inaccurate. Didn't werk werth a darn. Better luck ta ya.

Yeah. Them recreational shooters reloadin' is causin' trouble shootin', makin' noise 'n ruinin' the planet. They need ta be controlled 'n the money they werked for ta spend on the hobby confiscated for redistribution to people who are entitled to it.

Been cleaning a old shed out and setting my reloading stuff up. It getts too hot to do too much though.

Isn't 2400 shotgun powder?
Mathew 5.9

Arcey

Known as a magnum pistol powder. Loaded .223 plinkers with it for a single shot. They wouldn't cycle the action of my deadly 'assault rifle' with a big clip that holds a lot of bullets. Worked up 45-70s with mixed results. Don't about the shotgun stuff.

Used it to load .357 Magnums for major sets in bowlin' pin matches. A slightly different .357 Magnum load stuff for the 100+ yard stuff I messed with when we had the sorely missed Pungo range.

Used 'n am usin' WST for CAS stuff. Was usin' it for OFSDAR get tagethers but I like Trail Boss better for that.

One of the posse found a container of Bullseye in the shop up Colonial Heights recently.

Still want Titegroup for plated bullet loads out the 9s. Best performance I've had with those. Unique ain't worth a crap for that. Clays is a l'il better, not great,  but it works well with jacketed stuff.

Ain't gotta application for 2400 it at the moment, wish I did, but if there was a container of 2400 sittin' on the shelf it the shop when I got there, it'd be gone when I left.

'Nother pressin' issue. We're workin' on a Ruger Challenge type of thing for when the weather breaks. They're almost equally scarce. Been lookin' for the past few weeks. None it the shop where the Auto Comp was. Ain't been none it Bob's.

The local shop here has .22 but i think he prices them with the days end gold prices. Not much powder in his store. The Ace Hardware on the other side of town sells brass bullets and primers no powder of any kind. Traded for a Ruger MarkII last summer got the rail attached for optical. Never installed them. Like the iron sights.
