The bird made it ta duh beach from God's country in the valley. Inna Tacoma, that's class. License reads, '4D BIRDS.'

That's the president of the Wildlife Center of Virginia, Ed Clark, on the left. Offered ta let 'im put the bird in the station wagon with the A/C runnin'. Clark figgered the bird might get cool, like it 'n refuse ta come out. .



After the crowd gathered, Clark took 'er out 'n strolled the crowd slow so e'erbody could gawk. Feather damage twix the eyes is road rash. She'll grow 'em back next molt.



Bird gots some big feets 'n talons.



Couple folks I'm aquainted with good equipment was shootin' the airborne stuff. Decided ta wait for 'em to post theirs of the flight. Just enjoyed it.

Bird hauled hiney o'er the tree line 'n disappeared.

looks like a Golden there, just balding.

Welcoming a respite from high temperature.  past week has been seeing highs no less than 105, though closer to 110.  Hottest was yesterday, at 114.   However, today there are clouds, and the high hasn't been above 80 today.  Made working nice.

Well I am back to typing now that my haands and fingers are no longer numb. Had a Kenalog (Cortizone) shot in each hand to deal with the issue I have been having with my fingers locking up and being painful. What the doctor didn't tell me was that my fingers and hands would be numb for several days. Try eating and using utensils when your hands feel like they have been novacained.

This adult was watchin' the goin's on from the other side the creek, a good ¼ mile away. Someone in the crowd spotted her sittin' there. Weren't much more'n a speck.Didn't know the juvenile flew o'er there 'til Jim posted the shots.



They're both American Bald Eagles. They're sea birds, feeding mainly on fish. The bird released taday will get her white feathers, yellow eyes 'n beak 'bout 2017 er so when she matures. Dark feathers 'n white feathers'll be mixed the season before, makin' 'er what's known as a 'dirty bird.'

Goldens are more of an inland bird with a diet of mainly small warm 'n fuzzy things. The bigger of the two rides on which 'expert's' writtin' the specs.

Decided on Names for dogs Raina and Arwyn, german names. Raina is responding very good however may have the most health issuses. I de- wormed and cleaned and treated wounds cleaned their ears yesterday. They both are very good patients. I also made up a supplement meal for them that included B-12. This will supplement the dried food.

Of all things, she wants a new water filter for the ice box. The 'change filter' light's onna timer. She don't know it. Thinks it lights when the filter's gettin' fulla crap. Took the last one out 'n put the plug in it she can see nothin's there. Time 'fore I just reset the thing 'n she thought a new one was in there. Ennyways, I'll take 'er to the appliance place 'n get one. Gotta run out 'n see Alice for a couple things too.

Got the chores done early while there was a cool breeze. Heading out shortly to take the wife to her cardiologist appointment and a side trip to BJ's Wholesale Club.

Truck's back. Just as we suspected it was the pressure sensor. Only problem was it's buried under the intake manifold. Had to take the top part of the engine to get at it. All said and done,$400+ to fix. For a dang sensor!
