I would like to wish everyone attending the 10th Annual Grand Muster a wonderful time.  It's hard to believe that it's now been 10 years since we started holding the Grand Muster.  The Grand Army of the Frontier has come a long way, and much of that success is due to all the hard work, dedication, and imagination by those who have helped organize and conduct our Musters.

I have been planning to drive out from Virginia for this special Grand Muster, so that I could take all the necessary firearms, ammunition, and uniforms that can't fit into a checked bag on an airline.  However, I've been down with pneumonia for over 3 weeks now so will only be able to attend in spirit.

For everyone attending, I hope everyone shoots great, eats well, and enjoys the comradery that represents the true spirit of the GAF.  Be safe and have fun!

US SCOUT;
I was on IV's for 6 weeks when I had double Pnuemonia ( I also had a stroke at the same time).    I hope you have better luck than I did.
I hope They all have a good time at the Muster.

Sorry you couldn't make it, General. A good time WAS had by all! Already looking forward to next year.

Niederlander

A good time indeed!  It will be even better next year!

Oh yeah!  Yer gonna love the reports.  The United Australian States Light Marine Horse did particularly well.  The USS Monocacy repelled all boarders, the Argentinians came north, the Canadians came south, Scouts were out, British Officers demonstrated proper Tiger shooting, Mafia were evidently very lost, and a Bad Czech was reported . . .  ;D

I have lots of pictures (800+ of fast framed stuff) but will have to wait until this Scout gets back from our recon mission to Cody this week. I will work on thinning out the boring/no good pics, and then send Pitspitr a cd full.

The Navy DID look a little lost out on the prairie though....

NAVY.....I thought that was a wayward Trooper in stable dress.  I guess your eyes miss little things like that after having such a rip-roaring time as we had. Weather was quite accommodating also...Friday night especially!  I concur that future Musters would be most enjoyable if held in Nebrasky...centrally located for the US, excellent shooting facilities, darned good folks there (although some did come in from afar) and the cook wasn't half bad either. Just don't mention the word "Yuppy" or anything about salvaging apricot cobbler. First place I have ever been that you could find apple pie so runny that it could be put in a quart jar. Quite tasty though.
Well, starting to ramble (or remember) so will close.

Have you grown weary of that carbine yet?

If he shoots his 44-40 at 600 yards, he's probably looking for a 1000 or more yard range for that Swede carbine.

You put a lot of research and work into your impression. Well earned placement in uniform category!
