Gunslip for Trapper without scope

Hi everybody - I have an Uberti Winchester '73 "Trapper" with 16 1/4 inch barrel. I want a gunslip to fit it to carry it to the range. But all the cases I can find for short rifles are wide for scopes. I don't have a scope. Does nobody in the world make a short gunslip that's narrow?

You need one for a shotgun.  There are plenty at your local Walmart.

If you're talking about a zippered soft case to carry your rifle in, see what you can find for an AR.  I have seen some that don't have all the mag pockets and other junk hanging on the outside.

A shotgun case would be fine but do they make 'em short enough? Barrel just over 16", overall length about 36".

A padded soft case would be fine but are AR cases slim-line? Don't they normally cater for piccatinny rails and such?

Just fold it over if you're getting the cloth cover.  They also make tactical shotgun soft cases which should work for the length part of your equation.

I guess I'll have to use a shotgun slip and take it to the tailors to be shortened. Not a big job. I just wondered if anybody made slips for short carbines without scopes, but it seems the answer is "No".

What about a rifle scabbard for  your saddle . Most tack shops will make it for your weapon ?
