I was working in the shop yesterday late afternoon and watching an old "Have Gun Will Travel" episode.  All of a sudden, Paladin is standing there with an original second model 1876 Winchester carbine.  From the ammunition he was loading into the tube, it appeared to be a .45-60 in quite good condition.  He fired several rounds from the gun and made quite a show of handling and loading it.  Very interesting.

I've seen that one! For some reason i remembered it being a short rifle though?

I wish I knew.  By the time I saw the '76, the intro to the show had passed, so I don't know the name of the episode.  It was on the Encore channel at 4pm mountain time on the 28th.  Another very cool rifle used often in the series is the Marlin owned by Paladin.  It is either a model 1889 or an 1894 "RIFLE" not a carbine.  It appears to have a 14" to 16" octagon barrel, full magazine and short forend.  This gun has Paladins chess knight tacked to the right side of the butt stock.

Did some checking online and it was Episode 43 and 44 that were showed on the 28th.
