Prof. A. Wickwire

Technically I am a dues paying member of NCOWS.  I sent in my check about a month ago, but I haven't heard anything since.

Hopefully soon.

Sincerely,

Prof. A. Wickwire
Now where did I put that fuming nitric acid?

I just sent in my and my wife's dues, too.  I'm excited about being a part of this org.!  Now, I just hope a group will start up here in Arizona.  We've got a lot of natural authenticity here.

Doc, I guess that makes you our primary recruiter in Arizona.
That is how several of our new posses got started.  One person became interested and recruited others.

Welcome aboard and lots of luck.

Many thanks, Will!  I'm surprised there aren't any posses here.  This place is buried in western history of all types and all peoples.  NCOWS seems like a natural.  Well, as soon as my membership packet arrives I'll start recruiting....

I have often wondered the samething.  Same with Texas.  Seems like a natural fit to me. ;)

Maybe we could start a posse halfway between us, somewhere in New Mexico.  :D

By the way, I changed my handle so as not to be confused with the 1,207 other Docs.  I'm fairly sure there aren't many Yellowhammers...

Sir, Frenchie LaFrance, # 1961... is that right? What the heck is my number, anyway? Gotta look it up...

Merry Christmas, y'all!

I've been a member for about 5 years. I attended a military course at Camp Dodge, IA and my instructor was an NCOWS member. He is the one that started me down the CAS road (to my wife's chagrin). I joined because I enjoy the historical Old West. I live in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where there isn't a local NCOWS posse and I haven't organized one yet. I went to the Convention in 2001 when it was in Waterloo, IA. That is the only NCOWS event I have ever attended. I always intended to go to the National Shoot and other events but something always came up--usually military training or deployment. Thats about it.
