Thanks for the coffee Buck. Need to go into Norfolk and take Mom shopping, if I get done early enough I might run by Bob's Gun Shop and see what he has in the double action revolver case.

Got the fever? Don't forget the mashers...:-)

It t'was Barbasol I forgot. Got it now.

Station wagon's inspected 'n passed. First time I've had it east bound since I washed it. Windows are all smeared up. Mornin' sun's brutally honest. Do 'em again later.

The new shootin' place ain't got no pistol powder – zilch. Said they'd saved some for the openin' 'n it kinda went inna hurry. Bet so.

Mentioned OFSDAR ta the dude wantin' ta sell the reloadin' stuff. Eyes got big 'n asked where. Got 'im a place in the country. Drives thru the radar trap, otherwise known as Waverly, 'bout as frequently as I do headin' to it. Potential victim participant.

Morning y'all.

well, we had some interesting stuff the past few days.

Don't remember if I said this or not...  But on Monday we had a home-made Gyrocopter crash at the airport.  The pilot was taken to the city for trauma treatment.  I learned yesterday that he died. :(

Monday evening, our sawmill caught fire... again.   It burned to the ground in 2009, then was rebuilt (for $20M) in 2011.  Monday, a spark from welding the de-barker landed in some sawdust.  this time the sprinkler system, and some garden hoses managed to keep it in check until the fire department came and doused the place.  Total cost; just over $10,000.  :-\

Yesterday, I ended up moving an entire storage unit out, then put a couch in a small pick-up truck, re-pack the unit, then move the couch to the house.  Then, moved the couch we already had, outside, and replaced it with the new couch.

Then, had a concert last night for the after school program here at the elementary school.  It went well, though I'm not exactly sure why we played "Beer Barrel Polka" for k-5 graders..  ???   ::)

I was never trained as a gunsmith, I don't trust myself. I only carry regular ammo, not reloads. I am not a reloader.  I always carry a back-up  pistol.

Well Bob's didn't have anything in my budget. They did have a used "K" frame Smith in .38 with a 6 inch barrel, nice revolver but they wanted $675 for it. On my way home I stopped by Battlefield Guns, found a used Ruger Security Six in .357 for $460.  It works with the speed loaders I already have so now I have an extra OFSDAR gun.

Might be familiar with the grump. Dunno. I don't recall.

Don't work on carry guns. Don't carry reloads on the street.

Been loadin' my own cartridges for recreational use in 1970.

Ain't a trained gunsmith. Grabbed a hammer 'n a hacksaw 'n slicked up my first Smith from instructions inna magazine. Slicked up my OFSDAR 'n CAS stuff myownself. They werk kinda good.

Kept a few Smiths stock – just in case.

Gotta make sure the Ruger shoots pret soon, cuz.

Happy, happy, joy, joy, excitement, excitement.

Whilst I been watchin' a bird in Georgia by live stream 'n chasin' HK around Honey Bee golf course, the folks of the CCB done snatched a baby bird out the nest right around the corner 'n transmittered her.  She's been banded MR.

Ain't she sumthin'?

Now they want a name. Just suggested Gracie. Reasonin' as follows:

Name her Gracie. Grace Sherwood, the Witch of Pungo, was tried for Witchcraft by "ducking" in the Lynnhaven River in 1706. Sherwood was taken from the jail to the river on a dirt road. The dirt road is known as Witchduck Road to this day.

Mrs. Sherwood was an animal advocate. A statue of her stands on the grounds of Bayside Hospital. It includes a raccoon.

MR's new name would be a reminder of the rich history of her birthplace.

Been in that there hospital a time er two - outpatient. They did things to me a man rather not talk about. Went by on errands 'n found someone was lookin' out for me. Parkin' lot's crammed full 'n there was an empty place not thirty yards from the statue.
