My running days are over too TLD, but I can still walk around a SASS or OFSDAR stage and have fun.

Arcey, thanks for the offer. Cast enough .38 for a match just need to lube and load them. Got primers and some Clay's powder and about 300 .38 cases. Just need to haul my lazy but up to my loading room and get busy. Same for Cowboy ammo, retirement seems to have made me lazy.

Afternoon y'all.

Worked with the horses this morn. Feel a nap coming.

'Tis 59 and partly sunny. "Partly cloudy. Isolated sprinkles in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 60s. West wind 10 to 15 mph."

Me, too, TLD; I quit shooting CAS because a cane just doesn't work very well when trying to shoot a stage.  I was slow before I got banged up, but after????  You could time me with an hourglass getting between positions.

I passed on the coffee, thanks.  Been somewhat under the weather of late, not feeling too social.  And speaking of weather, we hit 100 first time this year on Thursday; the wind has been blowing non-stop for about two weeks, and things are so dry they pop if you rub on them.  103 today here at my house.

The cousins came over. They were wanting some rocks to line a path. So, I got the tractor and trailer out. Loaded the kids in the trailer, drove to the field and had 'em pick rocks.  ;D

Run, what's that? Only running this old fart has done lately is my nose runs. A fast walk is about all I can muster, and not always at that ::) :o :D

We've had some rain showers today, including some suspiciously looking like snow/ice crystals. Currently 50, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

Have two memorial services to sound TAPS for tomorrow with the small American Legion post down here.
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Went to Wal-mert with Rita, only place she can get her Orange Propel and my whole wheat flour, started going to a different one than the one she always went to. better class of customers, better class of help, found a bunch of calico for $1 and $2 a yard, they had to page someone to come cut it and it turned out to be a old phart I know from work, didn't know he worked there, got about 25 yards of material for aprons, bandannas and a couple new shirts.

Got some bully beef also, had it for less than $5 a can, cheapest I've seen it in years, makes good emergency rations for the cupboard, guess you can call it beef spam but I like it much better.

Got two new pairs of sweats to wear around the house, old ones wouldn't stay up any more, we figured they we're maybe 12-15 years old.

Hey Del

give this a try

Jamaican Bully Beef

1 can Bully beef
1 medium onion (sliced)
2 sprigs fresh thyme
1 medium ripe tomato (chopped)
2 stalks scallion (chopped)
1 scotch bonnet pepper (de-seed and chopped)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
1 tsp. browning (optional)

Heat oil in a heavy bottomed frying pan (skillet) over moderate heat.
Add onions, garlic (optional) and scotch bonnet to frying pan. Sauté for approx 1-2 mins.
Add thyme and corned beef. Turn down heat to medium- low and stir until cooked.
Add onions, garlic and chopped scotch bonnet in frying pan
Add chopped tomatoes, scallions, and browning (optional), stir well and cook for another 3 minutes. Use paper towels to absorb the extra vegetable oil, if any.
Bully Beef is often served for breakfast with Johnny Cakes, fried plantains or boiled green bananas and toast.
It can also be served with white rice & fried plantains
