What I'm hearin' is the same as when Hisson went on his 'workplace violence' spree at Hood. Personnel ain't supposed ta be armed 'less it's required by assignment. Great place for a nut to take folks out while waitin' to commit suicide by cop 'n get national recognition doin' it.

Under those restrictions, which I agree with, those imposing said restrictions bear the responsibility to keep those under their charge safe. They failed.  Not unlike the government failed to prevent the situation on the Mahan.

None of the bases I visited on business, or ships for that matter, ever asked us to disarm. Heck, I don't remember either of 'em ever askin' if we were armed. I assume they assumed. Pretty sure I went on the Spear without a jacket more'n once.

Prior to Gulf War I, anyone could drive right onto NAS or NOB unchallenged. No sentries at the gates after business hours.

Put 'em in the regional jail in Suffolk's gun locker once. Cost a quarter ta unlock the door to get 'em out. If I coulda figgered out a way ta get the thing off the wall I'd taken it back ta Norfolk with me. Busted it open, got my pistol out it then sent it back to 'em.

Arcey, You should have tried a slug instead of a real coin. The temp is hovering around 70 and cloudy. The weather folks are predicting rain, but none has got here.

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. The temp is 48 right now, with a high temp of 70. Things got a little  western last night. We had high winds, large hail, heavy rain, and twisters. They all missed us. I know that they had some injuries, possibly deaths in Farmersville. They are north and east of us.

The house does have a history,Arcey. Right after we moved into this one, the guy living there killed himself during a thunder storm. Wife never heard the shots, and she was home here at the time. Wasn't found for a few days. Wasn't pleasant when they aired the place out. Since then, it's had three different owners, and none of them have stayed there for very long. A lot of times at night/evening, my one dog will start barking at their kitchen window( faces the dog's area) if it's lit or not and no ones standing in front of it. She did that about a month ago at 11:30 at night and I couldn't see any reason for her to be barking like that. Really carried on,had to chastise her fairly severely. Maybe haunted?????? ::) :o ???
As far as mail, etc., the boxes aren't at the houses here. There's two box sites that are towards the front(?) of the park. You pick your mail up there. Plus, they aren't getting the paper ::)

morning all.

I haven't got a chance to test the 1911, won't until Sunday(possibly).  It was pretty cool though, the way the dealer handled it.
Turns out the manufacturer warranty wouldn't cover it.  But in store policy did.  Guy took it in the back, fixed all the burrs, and even drilled a new take down hole in the guide rod(the old one was inconveniently placed, right under the belled muzzle, mostly covered by the frame).  When we got it all packaged up and asked him how much, he told us, "nuttin'."    They will definitely be receiving my business in the future.  Unlike the other gun store in town, which doesn't pay a customer attention if they  a) are a woman or  b) might possibly be too young to purchase a firearm, parent present or not.   (the only way to get attention there is to take the CrimsonTrace display, and start pointing the laser at the mirrors.   ::) )

Not sure who,Roo, but the Cleve. Fox station has TBA's from about 2:30 tomorrow afternoon,  and Sportstime Ohio doesn't have'em listed at that time so it just may be. The game today finally started about 5:10 our time. Last blurb I heard on the news here had'em down 2-0 in the fifth. They're playing Minnesota ::) ??? :-\

The rangers won their opening home series against the Phillies. I am still not sold on the pitching staff of the rangers. We get the games on Fox Southwest.

The local outlet for the Indians was bought up by Fox towards the end of last season. It was affiliated with the NBC station up in Cleveland before the sale. The Indians won by the way,7-2. Bats woke up in the 7th.

Roo, They're supposed to play tomorrow at 1 our time, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to find them or not

Back to today's game, homers by Gomes and Swisher got'em started either in their half of the sixth or seventh. Not sure if Salazar was the winning pitcher or not, he was the starter. ::)
