Some p38s stashed here 'n there wouldn't hurt.....

Wonder how many of the things I've lost...........................

That's why they don't sell those one at a time.  I think last time I bought any it was a dozen.  got one on my keyring, last can I opened I used my Leatherman.

Hey Del, is there going to be a chapter on can openers in your book?

Four-Eyed Buck

I've always got my Leatherman if I can't find a regular opener. we have three here in the drawer, but only one works well for me. Then, there's the electric.....meh ::) :P

Arcey, I bruise so easily, it's ridiculous. Be doin' something and happen to look at my hand/hands and theres a dang bruise/black and blue mark. Don't know how I got it, but there it is. Last Sunday I was an usher at chuch, got handed a collection plate and it hit the back of my hand first. Sure enough, had a black and blue mark on the back of my hand.....didn't even rap me that hard either ::)

Thin skin bruses easily, a condition common to old people. I went to Sonic and got a couple of chili dogs for lunch. No clue for supper tonight.

If old is key I got it covered. Half the time I dunno what I hit. Just see the bruise er the blood er both...................

The P38 things are found loose in boxes at guns shows. Usually several venders hawkin' 'em. 'Bout 50¢ apiece, three for a dollar. GI Joe sort of surplus stores ya see 'em in plastic bags, three bucks for five.

Ain't got one the leather things. Do have some sort multi-tool in the box out in the barn – I think. Don't matter tho. Ain't got nuttin' ta open.

Got ta pokin' 'round lookin' for food the evenin'. Weren't none. None I wanted ennyways. Went ta the off site pantry. Didn't know what I wanted. Johnsonville's got my l'il tummy rumblin' more'n anything else I saw. They're in the l'il red one with cabbage 'n 'taters, drownt in beer.

Havin' a nutritious lunch of potted meat product 'n store brand crackers.

Went to the last fish fry for the year where we go. I got baked, though. Better for me. Just wish I didn't have to waste half of a good baked tater. tryin' to cut down on starches and carbs. Been doing pretty good this week, we'll see later when I test ::)

I have lost another 15 pounds since my last appointment. I have not done anything different, other than eating less.

Thanks for the coffee Tex.

I have dropped a pant size since we moved here.  I  have been walking Killer twice a day and going to range . The only extent of exercise i get.  I was doing sit ups till i got a chest cold. Need to get back to that.

Guessers say 40% chance of moisture after 1400 today. Typical forecast this  time of year.  I cleaned my Marlin back this winter. Apparently i put the ejector back in wrong.  I think i will take it to the range to be sure it works.
Then maybe go fishing afterwards

G'mornin', y'all, may I join you for a cuppajo?

That can opener discussion got me to chuckling.  We have three in the kitchen, two are battery operated and open cans on the outside of the rim, hands free, even - just set one on a can, squeeze the buttons on the sides, and it goes to work, leaving you free to stand there and watch it go 'round.  The other one is a plug in that opens cans on the inside of the rim; good for draining liquid out of stuff like canned corn or beans.  Takes more human input, not as entertaining as the hands free ones.  The last P-38 I carried on my key ring got to where the sharp pointy end wouldnt stay folded flat, and it was prone to biting me at often inopportune moments, so I quit carrying one there.

Miss Bella, our local granddaughter, and I are going out to visit with a bunch of "scary men who wear skirts" today; the annual Celtic Gathering is going on this weekend.  We haven't been out there in a few years, so hopefully I can walk for long enough to see what's new.  She has a game this evening, and is out of school next week, so I have to figure out some things to do to try to keep her from getting too bored.

Our weather is boring: warms up some, then gets windy and cloudy and cools off a little, then repeats; but each time, it gets a little warmer.  Hit 90 the last few days, supposed to only get to 80 or so today, mostly sunny and dry.  I did, however, get into a wee squall on my way home last night; it was one of those disturbed skies evenings with lots of pretty colored clouds in the evening dusk, and flying along the freeway, I hit a spot of rain that caught me by surprise; just enough to mess up the windshield, and make the pavement glossy.  Weird.

Well, gonna go start the day.

Later.

I did work the unloading table for them. Couple of them had done it before the rest were pretty new

Afternoon, y'all.

Well, today I'm a-packin' my saddle bags, tomorrow headin' south.  Be at Yosemite for the next week.  School-related thing, naturally taking place on spring break.  :-\   I'll be the only one there that lives in a similar environment, so that might get a little interesting...

Might see about doing some 1911-ing tonight, just to get the gunpowder levels in my blood up before the trip(if it get's too low, I can get mean.   ;)   ).

We got up to 73 today. The Boss and I stripped the skirting off a 70ft. single wide. Replacement stuff hasn't arrived though. I went out and cl;eaned up after the dogs later and then cleaned up a ton of sunflower shells from around the feeder sites. Still on call until tomortrow late ::)
