I have some lead (100 #s plus) that I could bring to the convention is anyone is interested in it.  Some of it's in sheet form and others in chunks.  Most of it is pure virgin lead but I have at least one large block of an alloyed lead.  I'm not sure what the alloy is but when I have had the same type in the past bullet casters said it made great bullets.

Please let me know if you want me to bring it because it.

I'm not sure what to charge for it but we will come up with something.

What are you asking for it?  I'll take a hundred pounds or so of the virgin stuff if the price is right.

I really have no idea what to charge.   I have just over 300 pounds at this time but can get more.  What do you guys normally pay?

It's not all "virgin".  Some is cut up water pipe that I acquired probably 40 years ago for making muzzle loading round balls.  Some is roofing lead that some buddies and I smelted and removed the tar from.  There might be a small piece or 2 with some tar left on it.  There is quite a bit of virgin roofing type lead in sheets.

Looks like 300 lb will sell out in about 5 minutes.....

But if any was left, I'd take some.

I am fairly sure that I'll get more on Monday.  I haven't seen it yet so I can't describe it.

No hired hand just me.  :'(   I plan to leave it in the van and those who want some can get it there.  Since it appears that I'll sell everything I bring I won't be mentioning it at the convention.  Those who have spoken for some here will get first choice.

Two Bit Charlie

Will, I would also be interested in some lead.  Being that I live in Sheboygan, WI, it might be easier for both of us if I would just run over to Madison some time and picked some up. That is if you can get more! Let know it this would work for you.

Charlie, send me a PM with your e-mail address.  If I get more I'll let you know.

There was a box that my guy put in with the lead and I didn't know what in the taped up bottles and sacks.  Turns out they were filled with bird and buckshot.  Down at the bottom were three 5 pound boxes of unopened Hornady double and triple buck shot.  If I hadn't been feeling so crappy I might have bothered to check then instead of waiting until I got home.  The bird shot is various sizes and some is sewn into small sacks.  It appears as if they were made up as some type of weight.  There were also some sacks of what I think is iron oxide pellets.  I have no idea if they would be useful for much.

I might e able to get some more lead but the first goes to books because I was out by the time he asked me at the convention but was one of the first to speak up on here..  I had neglected to bring a list of those who said they wanted lead and by the time I got to the convention I was so sick that I just didn't want to deal with it.  I apologize Mike.  I'll try to make it up to you.

I hope you all had a great time.  I didn't, mostly because of this damn chest cold that came upon me about the time I was screwing around trying to find my way out of St. Louis  :(
