What I find most shocking is, you work on Glocks too! :o

FlyingZebra

What's even more shocking is that a Glock needs any kind of work.

Be well HH
I'll sacrifice some black powder to your health.

I've been considering milling the slide for one of those micro dot sights - partly with interest to slow the slide down...

What's the doctor got to say today?

Sorry I missed yer call Ol Coot!

I am in sort of a holding pattern, fired the Hindi because he refused to install a filter above the clot, miss-informed me about my "tumors" then wanted his "twenty percent" upfront before surgery......
I then (on a friend of a friend's referral) got in to the head of the Vascular Surgery dept at UT Southwestern in Dallas (I hate driving to Dallas) who is doing an MRV, MRI with contrast concentrating on veins, on the 7th of April. Then they are having "the board" go over my results to gain a group opinion on what to do. I have a 4/14 appointment to find out.

I either have a "One in millions" clot or a very rare cancer called Leomyosarcoma. Pray for the first option PLEASE ;)

Crow Choker

In a black covered leather book I have, in the 2nd part of it, it tells of a man who once walked this earth, who had the power to heal the sick. He did so many times, witnessed by many people. This man stated He had the power to do so, stating it was one of the reasons he came to this earth. He proclaimed that this power was given to Him by His Father. That man still lives, not physically here, He resides in another realm, but His Spirit is with us. That man proclaimed and promised that if we believe in Him and ask anything in His Name, He will answer that request if we have the faith to believe it will be so. The words of that Man, written in red lettering in my black leather covered book are true. Prayers for you Gary. Believe! Prayer and Faith. Prayer and Faith. Prayer and Faith.

Well the pard who got antsy and filed a chargeback on his PayPal payment to me has created a real dilemma...........

As I said in my earlier post he emailed on 3/3 and then filed for a chargeback on 3/10, both while I was in the hospital without email. Even though my wife replied to his concern and advised him I was in the hospital (and advised PayPal of the same) this "customer" carried on with his mission and got his money refunded plus a bunch of excessive fees.

His pistol is half done, his parts are bought and paid for and I am out almost $600.00 which PayPal tells me stands because his request was to his Credit Card company and Paypal had to fold.

So I have two comments:

#1. No more PayPal (this Dwight feller ruined it for all of ya'll).
#2. Since you will not respond regarding how you want to clear up your arrears plus fees you are now at the back of the line and you will have to pay full price plus the incurred PayPal fees in order to get your pistol returned.

What is the consensus of the forum?

Hoof .... First, get better!!

Second, on the whole PayPal thing, I am with you in holding his project as collateral on payment. At least for the work done so far and fees you were charged. He was the one who initiated a charge back without the willingness to offer you the benefit of the doubt. Sounds like you communicated in a timely fashion and he executed a knee jerk reaction. I would suggest you print out all the email and other communications from the customer and PayPal for your records. They may come in handy.

As for me, I was going to call and (one) see how you were. I almost called today but got distracted with work. (Second) I was going to PayPal you some funds to have you add that extra Defarb touch to my project if the bluing was not already done. Guess I will have to drop you cash or some other acceptable payment in the overnight.

Either way, no rush, I would rather have you healthy and available for many years to come. A gun can be replaced, craftsmen are rare and precious!

I hope others show their support in reference to your Paypal stance. Personally, poop happens! Paypal is convienant and if this was
Your only bad experience, the company may deserve a 2nd chance. But definitely not a 3rd!  I have never used a cc on PayPal, always the bank account option, but would imagine they are bound by the cc co rules more than their own. ( I am sure there is a government regulation out there somewhere that dictates that)

Lefty Dude

Y'all can  Pay Pal all you want. Not me I send USPS M.O. for payments & also request same when I sell to CAS/SASS Pards.
My Wife sells on E-bay and Pays & receives payments by PP. She moves the money very quickly to a Local Credit Union account.

We remember several years ago when PP had a huge problem and was down for several days. Folks money was frozen in Cyber-Space. We swore never to trust on line banking again.

Gary; request payments & deposits by M.O.'s or Cashier's check.

Get well Friend !
