We are more imaginative than that, you have to catch a ball from a four pounder. There has to be plenty of soot in the ceremony.

Wack most of us on the head with a Colt Walker, and you would ruin them. Not the head but the Walker.
Like the idea of catching a ball from a four pounder, but think one must do it blindfolded. Make it challenging, keep the rifrap, like me on their toes.

Hey if Grapeshot is number 49, then add me to the list as well. Cut my teeth on my uncle's original 1795 Springfield musket and still run The Holy Black thru just about anything I've got almost 50 years later. Got started on conversions with one from Gren that uses original 44 Colt heeled bullets. Have built a number of Kentucky Long Rifles and hunted with 'em. So I'd be proud if you could include me in this venerable order. Thanks. Pathfinder

Well Its been a big year for me I just celebrated my first year anniversary of a Quadruple Bypass and two hip replacements. I am up and moving around better than I have in years! Looking forward to getting back to shooting my smoke wagons.

.....this is too cool. Nuthin' like shooting the holy black. Been shooting nothing but muzzleloaders off and on for better than 25-26 years. Then got introduced to Cowboy shooting. Now doing cartridge guns in BP, this is a blast. Another world to explore the history of. Also makes me pick on old westerns. Especially the old 50's-60's TV shows, lol.
