Any pards using Blackhorn 209 in their origional spencer?

I notice that the provide .50-70 load info on their website.  37gr are listed at a little over 19,000 psi.  I realize that BH is more of a hybrid duplex powder.

I have not loaded it for the Spencer but thought it may be of interest to you that there was an extensive
article in the Dec. 2010 issue(no. 269) of Handloader Magazine  on the use of Blackhorn 209 as a
blackpowder substitute in various handgun and rifle cartridges. If of interest you may be able to get
this back issue from them. Their website is handloadermagazine.com.

I have worked up a 30 grain (volume) round to test.  Cotton fiber filler on top.  Hopefully I will try it out tomorrow.

Shot some metal targets today at 35 yards and 100 yards.  My reduced load BH209 was disappointing.  My 777 loads were great com paired to the 10x ammo I was used to.  Now to develop a consistent load on paper.
