Same seller as the "Fluck".
Sure looks like a 2nd gen with an "antique" job. Look at the filed off (and re-stamped) serial number area on the bottom of the barrel and frame!

He also has an 1860 with an Italian stock listed as "original":

It looks like a 2nd gen to me as well, looked at a few of his gun know and he either has no idea or is up to no good.

He also has a 2nd gen 1851 with some unique "X" markings to help hide the serial numbers........

That one like all his stuff looks kinda strange.  However, the wedge and wedge screw actually look proper.  The screw is below the wedge and from the photo you can tell the wedge goes in a notch on top of the arbor rather than through a slot in the middle.  I have never seen a reproduction of the very early Model 1851s.  So, if he faked it he did a good job on the barrel.

Some very strange issues though with this revolver. You are correct, the barrel looks right for what it's advertised as but look at photo 16, the really thick silver plate is buffed off at the serial number (in front of the TG). The serial numbers on the frame and barrel look like there used to be 5 digits with the first and last digit removed. How can so much silver plate remain where it should be rubbed/worn off and so much be worn off where wear doesn't really occur. Then there is the "odd" filing marks that just happen to be where a signature is on a Signature series back strap......
Maybe and probably it is a parts gun that has been assembled but it was sold as original and that's the crime!

This gun and the others he has advertised are the types of guns that should only be purchased after they have been looked at in person and an expert has looked at it.  I am surprised anyone would bid that much based on a few pictures.

:-\  Is it just me or do the grips look like new. For all the wear on the barrel and cylinder the grips are in really good shape and not shrunk at all.
Aye its been quite a ride aint it?

Maybe he should have left the name on the back strap and claimed it was a special presentation gun to the Maharahish Yogi.

He's not doing a very good job of antiquing them, is he?  The grips on the fluted cylinder gun look new!
