So, I got this pair of 75's both have 5.5" barrels. Both barrels are marked "1890 OUTLAW model -cal. 44-40". Is this normal for the 75's Frontier models? Do the 7.5 barrels marked the same or just the 5.5? Probly a $$ saving way for the same barrel for 2 different guns?

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Who made/ distributed them?  Were they new when you bought them?

Cimerron Uberti's, and new. 3 serial numbers apart.

Perhaps a production slip then?  The only real difference between a 1875 with a 5.5 inch barrel and an 1890 is the barrel flagging, so maybe the assembly line got confused, and put a wrong extractor housing on.  Possibly a cost saver, like you said.   It's got me curious now...
