OK.  It's snowy.  It's cold.  I'm BORED.
I WANT A ........ BLUNDERBUSS!!
So, how many of you Guys n Gals have, or have had, any real experience with a Blunderbuss.  Just too KOOL lookin for words.  Just an amazing hand held CANNON.  With my new (for me) persona being Steampunk, I think a functioning Blunderbuss is an absolute necessity.
So, who has or has had one???  Fun???

Maj 2,
No problem.  Really. :D.  I'm actually almost over the lust attack now.  Went searching hard for the perfect cool cannon and discovered they come at a premium.  For a gun with no practice use (except cool factor). They do command some steep prices.  The source of manufacture in most offerings is also somewhat suspect.  I'm not so sure I'd stuff powder innum and setum off.  Scary.  But ...... KOOL.

DD, I'm not familiar with the term "Tower Gun."  Alas, but what I seek is a Blunderbuss.  Most I've found are coming out of India and Spain.  There are some great Spanish gunmakers in Spain but the Blunders I've see didn't come from them.  Crude is the word I'd use.

If you like the photos of mine above, check with Al Edge in Ladysmith, VA at http://aledge.com .  Mine took 28 months, mostly waiting for the barrel maker, and cost about $2800.00.  It's highly unlikely that you'll find real quality for anythinng less.  Having said that, a good friend of mine has used a Loyalist Arms (Indian) ' buss for several years and while it's not nearly as pretty as mine, it has held up to a lot of abuse.

For anyone that doesn't already know it, blunderbuss is a Dutch term loosely translated as "thunder pipe."  Also, the flared muzzle does not spread the pattern - it merely provides for rapid reloading.
