I had a previous post showing the Crossfire gun rig that I had made... I liked it...BUT... it really was not like the rig that I wanted, which was more like the rig that Selleck wore in the movie.  The first canvas belt was a buffalo belt made by David at Carrico Leather, a good belt but really not what I was looking for.  I found thru a search J&M Leather a gentleman by the name of John Ross. After sending him pictures from the movie showing the belt that Selleck wore and a few emails he took on the task.  In less than two weeks I had the belt.  Johnny was fast to the order and very easy to work with. This belt is more to my liking and more to the belt in the movie.  The pictures show the belt loaded with 45-60 rifle cartridges, the loops will also take 45LC and 44-40's, and would be considered period correct, as the first cartridges were fragile.  The belt is 2" wide double layer and is attached to buckle using the rear bar with no leather.  The bullet loops are 1 and 1/2" tall (top to bottom) and there are 38 loops (full).  The leather billet is longer than normal and it is lined to make it more sturdy, and the longer length helps to accomodate part of the right holster and the Cap Pouch.  The only difference in my belt and Selleck's belt... I have two straight hang Schofields and Selleck when using two revolvers used a crossdraw for the Left holster in triple drop loops.
Hope you pokes like...

Great looking rig. The prairie style belt is a good one. The billet stays out of the way when you wear it. Thanks for the pics.

I thank all who responded... glad you like it.  It is a very comfortable belt to wear... One thing I really like about it ... the canvas belt does not slip down when being worn like leather belts do.. it stays where you put it.  God did not award me with wide hips or a ski slope butt... laugh.  Thanks to all.

Hey Tom,

Can't wait to see it in person. I've always like the canvas belt look.

Blue Wolf - Since McQueen showed no revolvers in the movie (other than when he was arrested, had a belly gun) I suppose I can wear and shoot any ... LOL

One thing I have found with both of the Canvas belts... once you buckle them they do not slide down like the leather belts do, and for me that is a positive...laughing.
