By "I", I mean that it was my money... Mother's name on the raffle ticket, but, just like with my Winchester, Colt, Remington, Ruger and ARMSCOR, it was my cash that paid for it.

27°. Mostly sunny, with a high near 41°. West wind 9 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Maybe the guessers'll get the high right taday. Missed yestitty.

Nothin' ta shoot. No sports ta watch. Radio's all infomercials – the supplements ya gotta have er yer gonna die tomorrow – make a million dollars in yer sleep – etcetera.

Hehehehehehe..... Watched a Military History piece on Stalin havin' the folks make copies of the B-29. Also mentioned other stuff soviets back engineered. Yet, if ya wanna start an argument with a devotee, tell 'em Kalashnikov's rifle was built on swiped ideas all stuck tagether by a German.

She done spaghetti 'n meatballs yesterevenin'. Not bad, 'cept I ate too much.

Got guests showin' up this evenin'. Goin' all out. Hot Dogs.

Mornin' all.  Thanks for the coffee.

We got church this morning, and after that, either going to flop on the couch, or go to grandmothers property to go through things before we sell...For the record, I'm whole-heartedly against selling one of the 3 or 4 legitimate garden properties in a place where an application for "Agricultural development" means clear cut the forest and use illegal fertilizers etc. to grow millions of dollars worth of illegal crops.  The property where I learned to shoot, drive, cut ham, carve turkey, shoot squirrels, and grew up.  Sigh...on the other hand, with the price a piece of property that size could go for (especially right before growing season  :o) would pay for several new guns... ::)

TLD;  how's 15 sound?  not 21 yet... If I were, y'all would be hearing about new handguns...bi-monthly, or so... ;D

I have another pot of Cawffee and hot Water on the fire. The high for today is supposed to be 70, then in the low 40s for tomorrow. Texas weather, you get used to it. I just finished my oatmeal and toast, ready for the next pot of Cawffee to be ready. No Lunch planned, Pot roast planned for supper, with onions, carrots, and potatoes.

Afternoon all. Wife let me sleep in......late! Read the paper, did my crosswords, then went out and got the drive cleared.....again. 16 here with a healthy WC, probably below zero now. With all this physical labor, arther is really kicking. Most of me didn't get that cold, just my hands/fingers. Coming back really hurts though :P :-\

Did refill the feeders again for my feathered friends, with real cold, they've been eating a lot, even the cheap stuff ::)

Have a pot of red beans cooking on the stove now, gonna mix'em with some rice and yard bird ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

The pot roast is coming along nicely, good smells coming from the kitchen. A pot of pinto beans and corn is planned for next week. I finished the leftover Fritos pie for lunch. The roast should be ready to eat by 1900. The temp is supposed to reach 70  today and back into the low 40s by Tues.

Hay, y'all.

Went out 'n did some lookin' 'round. Checked out the vacant buildin' it Va. Beach 'n Witchduck a few weeks ago. Had an orange city zoin' sign sayin' 'Indoor Recreational Facility' on it, nothin' else less vague. Taday there was a sign out sayin' Colonial Shootin' Academy. This is the thing:

http://www.colonialshooting.com/

Ain't much of a stretch ta say it's 'cross the road from Superior Pawn 'n Gun. Small range in there. The new one's 5070 Virginia Beach Blvd. Superior's 4859 Virginia Beach Blvd. Neither more'n a couple miles from here by the back way.

A lot closer ta than Bob's. But I'm home at Bob's 'n that ain't likely ta change. Reckon Superior has folks shootin' there feelin' the same way.

If the range at the new one has any distance to it I will go e'er now 'n again ta pop off a few with the long guns tho. We'll see.

Went from upper 50's around 4 to below freezing 3 hours later, went down over 15 in a half hour.  Saw some bikers on the way home, was just above freezin' and they had light jackets, think they didn't check the weather.

Pulled pork and homemade fries for supper., was good.

Finally a chance to sit down, after church project became a monster(as projects usually do). Simple job, pull up a toilet and replace the wax ring.......became a complete tear out down to the bare floor joists and build a new floor. Had enough stuff at my "on farm hardware store" to get it at least all functional again. Seems I have used up all the leftover 1x lumber I had laying around though. Have to buy one more 1x6 to fill it all in level and a box of tile to finish it. Tore out about 6 tiles 18x18, had just 3 left from when I re-did the floor before. Thing was apparently leaking into the floor under the tile for a long time before it started to show up an the top of them...... >:(

Ya change yer mind be sure'n avoid the 'town' tunnels, Buck. Tolls start Saturday.

Mornin', y'all.

44°. Mostly cloudy with a high near 54°. Southwest wind 9 to 17 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Tanight; mostly cloudy with a low around 23°. Blustery with a north wind 15 to 22 mph.

Pret nice yestitty. Bottom falls out again tamarrah. Fat lady could be sleepin' in again Wednesday.

On Colonial; saw there wasn't a specific job listin', Maj.

Looked at the membership offer. It's set up like a lot of gyms – heavily weighted ta the company. Range rental for non-members should keep most of the trash out.

Just interested in the range 'n any consignment/trade-in toy(s) they may have I might want 'n, of course, loadin' components.

I think they should start a Peopleofthemorningcommute.com website, it sure would beat anything on the Walmart site.
